Totally interesting mechanic! I think it could use some constraints on the random, though, my best run got ruined when a block spawned on top of my ball.
As others have mentioned, I think some of it is a bit brutally luck-based. But well done getting something finished in time and submitted
Cool idea, does feel a bit unfair a lot of the times because death isn't really in control of the player most of the time (random generation), but I think it was well executed. Maybe adding some sort of way that the player can predict where the platforms are going to be, whether by telegraphing it beforehand or distinct patterns in the platform generation would give more control to the player and make the game a bit more engaging. Great entry!

Maybe if you add a previous on where will be the next platform, the player could prepare its jump.
Otherwise, it's very complicated to save the ball (it's mostly about luck or I missed something!)
