Super cool idea and spin on the theme!I really love it! :o The only problem is that I could brute force add molecules :D

Enjoying game but difficult to play since the base comes completely random. Rate my game too

Nice concept and visualisation. Though two factors make this game really difficult for me:

1. The fact that the gene moves upwards but your cursor does not. I'd prefer the cursor moving alongside the gene and then maybe continuously.

2. Having to look away from the actual puzzle to see what base comes next. How about your cursor being a queue of bases to you always can see what's next at the same place?

I thought it was really cool to use something scientific. It is a good educational project. I just felt a little difficult to use the Z and X. Maybe it would work to switch to the arrows. That way you could play with one hand.
Also, how about adapting for the cell phone? Maybe using a slide to navigate and dock, tap to switch ... It'll be fun!

Thanks! This is pretty much just the default control scheme for Pico-8, the pseudo-console this is coded for. If I made it bigger I'd probably try to make it in Godot or something, and then the control scheme could be very different (maybe even using a mouse).

I really enjoy the aesthetic of this game. It reminds me of a sort of one-dimensional tetris. The audio is pretty spot on and the visuals are quite nice. This is a very enjoyable game.

Found that there was little to no time to figure out how the play the game. A slower start along with more player feedback would make the game more enjoyable. maybe having a faint glow when two parts that should be together get closer.

Nice concept, not sure as to how it connects to the theme though

My idea here is that the cell acts like a mini chemical 'factory'; in this case, you're building one strand of DNA, using the other half as a blueprint.
