The darkness behind the player doesn't speed up? I felt like if I went slowly I could go on forever...

I think that, if the darkness sped up, the player would be forced to take greater risks and the game would end before it outstayed its welcome.

it's actually speeding up, but i put a limit to it, i didn't have too much time to playtest so i don't really have enough time fine tune it

With a little bit of polish (collision, colour, sizes), you could take this out of the trash!

The setting was a little dark. You could make the background bright and the spikes dark. See Badland (mobile game) for ideas

I loved concept.
It has a lot of collision bugs (when you hit something in the midle of nothing) but it might be web version. Mine web version not even playable rn in contrary to desktop one.

upd. Tried win64 version. Same issues =(
But hey, it is Trijam. It is really hard to make something polished and interesting in such short time span.

Maybe that because i didn't set up the spike collider properly, but are you sure that collision bug isn't your ship burning ? i will do some more play testing, thx for reporting

Don't be so hard on yourself :(

For just under 3 hours you got really far.


Some  ideas for the last 20 mins ;)

-improve maneuverability (make the ship smaller)

-Improve spike visibility (brigthen them up or sth)

Thanks for the advice and the word, i just disappointed with this one. there's an actual trash game collection on my profile XD

I think i would implement your idea if i got any motivation  to move this game out of the trash bin.
