cool fidget spinner on the last level. music choice could be better but at the same time it was a good idea for a rhythm game. i fully would support an update to this game. also kind of reminds me of 太鼓の達人.

Thanks for playing!

Its a good idea! But in my opinion the choice of music is not entirely successful. Only the last track contains the drum part - the basis of the rhythm section, which helps to press the buttons at the right time and involves the player in the flow. Switchin tracks on drum contained will make great feeling from this concept!

Damm your game is amazing! Even the sound effects. Such a simple idea really well made. What would I change in your game? Add a quit button on the pause menu. Also, I would add a web build, cause people don't tend to download games to play, even if you comment on their games. And since doing a web build is pretty straightforward you should do it. If you have any doubt how to do it, let me know and I give you a hand :)

Glad to play your game!

Thank you so much! I think those are great suggestions. I have done web builds in the past, but there's always something wonky with them that's not in the windows version, and since the game requires precision we felt that making it downloadable would be the best experience. But you're right a web build would be a good addition. I appreciate the feedback!

How does the game fit the theme?

Developer

The inverted mode turns on and off periodically

Unclear whether I swap to playing the X notes at the end of the fading transition  or as soon as it starts. Its also extremely precise on presses and doesn't entire fit to the song. Solid basis for a rhythm game though, you could definitely polish and ship this with some songs.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I think a countdown with a sudden change might work better in hindsight, and the hitboxes could be a bit bigger. Glad you liked it though!

I liked the gameplay and the music (Christmas in Cancun was my favourite).

The transition between normal and reverse mode could be more clear (sometimes the screen faded right when a note went past, I didn't know whether to hit it or not).

I couldn't finish the last level because there was too much going on on the screen, I almost got a headache..

Developer

Glad you liked it! I agree the fade alone isn't a great indicator. I wanted to add a countdown too, but we just ran out of time. And yeah, that last song is pretty rough lol, sorry if it was a bit painful
