Fun game! Good resource management. One main thing I would add is the ability to move the camera with WASD. It would help with navigation tremendously.

awesome game! The biggest change i think is needed is the WASD movement on the camera for sure, other than that I enjoyed the game a lot. I needed a few playthroughs to be able to play decently as the first time the barbarians from the east came they wiped me out really fast, the mixed need of resource, and food management caught me right before they showed up so my warriors i generated were half dead because of hunger.

This was really fun! I really like the aspect of units having to be villagers that you train and not just being able to magically get a population from the barracks. I like the intro and it's a really nice touch being able to skip it for the next playthroughs!

I would love to be able to use WASD to move the camera and automatically close the currently selected building info by clicking off of it instead of having to use the X.

I also think showing the villages capacity and current production rate of the different building on the little UI panel would be a nice touch!

Absolutely love this. Got super invested into the story, and I'm a sucker for village builders.

A few times a bug happened where villagers wouldn't move and got unselectable for a while, but eventually i could do a large area select and at least put them in a building, but otherwise very well done.

Plan to come back and finally beat it once I'm less 'computer' burnt out.

Thanks for playing! Yeah the units can be a bit janky at times - I probably need to rewrite the whole AI system :(

BTW, Did you use Godot?

AI has been an ongoing battle for me aha. Thank goodness for CodeMonkey and his state machines.

Developer

Yep, used Godot. My AI uses Bitbrains Beehave addon... It makes behaviour trees "easy"... https://github.com/bitbrain/beehave
