Loved the distinct scene choice setup. Was fun to see all their personalities come to life!
A tight mystery with distinct characters! You packed a lot into 10 days, and still left me curious for more- I wonder what's in store for Clyde! 👀
Well, lots. And not lots. I mean, he's a ghost, after all. Floating through walls. Haunting people. Making new friends. Maybe even watching his old friends make it big? An arcade, definitely. XD
Eh, my comment is just me iterating everyone's else words: very jam packed narrative in wonderful way, the way you use the MC as briliant unreliable narrator aspect, I'm also bad at playin dectective (not enough braincells lol) so i didn't get good end but still had a good time so yeah, absolutely awesome work for 10 days jam. Gotta catch all the ending laters!!!
Not getting the good end just means you can play it over again! I'm glad you had a good time with it!
This kind of stories are usualy not my cup of tea but the way the narrative was lead made it verry interessing ! Loved the point and click interface. Great entry here.
I'm glad it was interesting even though it's not usually your speed! Thanks for playing!
i love me a good mystery. y’all have written a compelling murder story that really got me busting out my notebook, haha! i love the perspective the entire thing was told from, and that last bit at the end has me anticipating for more.
anyway, good game. i would love to play more games that put my wits to the test like this. for reference, this is the page and word count of all the notes i wrote before i arrived to my conclusion! suffice to say, i got the murderer on my first try despite nearly arresting the wrong person lol
well done!
Wow! I'm glad you had so much fun with it, I'm seriously over here grinning like an idiot about all the notes you took. Thank you so much.
YOO this game is so intricate! Really cool way to tell the narrative, awesome job!
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The game was so well put together and had so much contents i wouldn't expect this to have been done in 10 days! The story is nicely presented with unique ways to introduce bits and pieces of the case, great work!
I admit that I'm bad at playing detective and made several wrong arrests though haha.
Hey, that's fine. That's the goal, to trip you up at least once, else how would anyone see a bad ending? (You know, except the completionists out there that just want to see innocent people cry.)
I'm glad you had fun with it, and thank you so much for the great comments.
really liked the way you told the story through the point and click gui and flashbacks and stuff!! there were just enough hints to put the story together at the end without things being too obvious too. also very intrigued by the little ending scene with theo hehe. great job!!!! <3
Thank you so much! I'm really glad we managed to walk that fine line with the hints.
Oooh I loved this story! I hope there's more Arcadia Files in the future :) I wanna know more about this mysterious person and their arcade!
There are, in fact, more to come... eventually. Arcadia itself is a whole game the crew are working on about mysterious Mr. Theo and his arcade, whereas the files will all be prequels for each of the characters. Their vague backstories make for awesome game ideas for a jam like this one.
OMG! The art, the music, and the jokes perfectly fit this game! Absolutely love it! And I got the culprit right on first try, yeay~! {*≧∀≦}
Thanks, I'm glad to hear the jokes went over well with at least someone who's not me. XD
The vibes absolutely rocked and the way the narrative was set up was really engaging, especially since it allows you to piece together who the culprit is without necessarily spelling it out for you
Super glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your comment!
