Very simple but done very artistic! I loved the color, the pixelated 3D, the audio, you set a pretty cool mood!

Sweet and simple gameplay. I like the graphics, how did you manage to create the pixelated style?

This tutorial helped me a ton:

I also enabled Unity's fog, which was surprisingly easy to do. A quick search for "unity fog" will give you any information you need.

This game is super cool! I love the graphics and the gameplay. After a couple tries I made it out with 11 treasures. Adding a reticle to make it clear what I'm grabbing would be really helpful as I found that sometimes it was unclear if I could grab something that was close to me. I loved the challenge of counting in my head and trying to time out when to leave. Very very cool overall!

Developer

yeah, looking back a reticle would have been a good idea. thanks for your feedback!

Nice art and way to use the theme. The music is nice too, although it would have been nice to also have sound effects for things like picking up the artifacts. A crosshair to see where I was clicking would have been nice (though I imagine some players would prefer not to have a crosshair, so maybe it should have been optional. When I got lucky I could pick up three artifacts, or maybe you have to be very close to them, in which case changing the appearance of the crosshair so that I wouldn't have to click around blindly would have helped.

The music fit the gameplay and maybe it can even help players know how much time is left. And the black-and-white art seems appropriate for a game about stealing stuff and not getting caught.

One thing I could have wanted (not that I managed to get that right myself) is restarting without having to reload the page.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! i though about a crosshair but i ended up deciding not to implement it, but i really like your idea of having an optional crosshair- that way you get the best of both worlds. as for restarting the game, a button to return to the main menu was originally on the end screen, but i had to cut both of these because webgl was really messing with the buttons detection and i needed to submit the project in time.

Yeah, time limits get in the way. The bouncing "mechanic" in my game was supposed to cost health, but I didn't implement that in time, and some of the speech is missing too. Plus the only way to get rid of the credits screen is to collect a CD after getting the credits screen, and there's no way to reset the game other than reload the tab. I think I'll make a version with the worst bugs fixed (making sure deaf players don't miss out on the speech, making sure blind people can hear the credits screen, and also make the level resettable and the credits screen exitable) after the rating period finishes.

The art is great! i love the 3D low res style! the movement is also nice and smooth for running around the museum. This was a well executed short game. Great job!  It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!
