I started playing this and then I realized I'd seen part of Vimlark streaming it. If I remember correctly, I think it was you, might have been somebody else, was remarking about being disappointed about not finishing all animations ... but in a jam game, I think that's among the least important things. I had a blast with this short experience. All the extra frames for sprite animation might be lacking, but there was a ton in here. Hidden secrets! And I clicked and clicked away until I found that bonus stage, because I wanted more. And excellent dialogue and interaction with Whisker. It's hard enough to write well, it's even more difficult to dole that out properly in a game.

I thought this was great. Your tie to the theme and requirement were a little fuzzy, but the game was a blast and I'm glad I played it. Awesome solo dev submission. I really enjoyed my time with it.

Developer

Thank you so much! T . T I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Found the scuffed test level and was not disappointed. Although, Whisker hit me with some all to real truths there. Game has a lot of charm, which I love. Well done

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Apart from what has already been said, tThe sounds are incredibly low, I even thought there was no music until I turned the volume up to maximum.

Anyway, this needs a lot of refinement, but it looks promising.

Developer

Thanks!

Yeah, I lowered overall volume b/c usually most games tend to be exploding eardrums loud, but I defo overdid it.

This has a good base, but not finished. The map has no guidance or more graphical details, while the characters are detailed and fine work. Also though the bunny character with kicking attack is pretty clever thing. Sounds fits and the game title's name sounds fun. You got something in this for sure.

I think you shall also fix the view ports size. In platform game it's better if player see more on the left and right: Now the view port layout is like a square, and player needs to move left and right, which is not working right.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

I purposefully made the viewport in 4:3, b/c I like the idea of doing that to give it a more "retro" feel, but for it to work, I defo need better camera work, better composition, and/or maybe a mini-map. Probably a better idea to give at least the option to put it in either 4:3 or 16:9 tho.

You'll prob read this a lot but it's missing a lot of animations! Art is nice tho, I love the robots! I wish there was a bit more content in it, such as actual fights or things to do on the level (even the boss isn't moving).

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! ^^

The player looks kinda awkward without a walking animation… I guess they’ve lost one (1) sentience lol. Also, I found something saying there was a secret on the title screen… but I can’t actually find said secret =(.

Edit: Found the secret through good old clicking randomly until you hit something! Also I should mention, love the writing! Shame there wasn’t much of a game…

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback! I'm glad you liked the writing!

Nice game. Not much of a challenge to it, but still had fun. I honesty thought whiskers was gonna attack me, but alas, he did not.

Developer

I meant to convey that Whisker was controlling the robots in the level, but I only had 1 piece of dialogue to convey that, and I ran out of time to get the robots attacking. T > T

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun!

Hey , nice game! I loved the humor behind Whisker , I guess you had a little influence by Wheatley from Portal 2! Nice !

Developer

It wasn't a conscious thing, but with how much I enjoyed the portal games, and w/ Vim mentioning GLaDOS, I probably was influenced by Portal 2.

Thank you!

I actually had fun with the platforming because the speed and double jump is slick. At some parts it would have been nice to be in the center of the camera, since it felt I could run into things I couldn't see, though because you can't actually get hurt in this version, I guess it's okay. Just needs the robots fighting back :)

Thanks for the feedback!

Ye the cam needs more work, but I'm glad you thought the basic run/jump was good!

Neat little game ! Kudos on drawing the sprites yourself ! It looks great ! only missing a run animation but completely understandable for a jam :)

The ennemies didn't seemed to fight back not much challenge :/

The secret level is a nice touch :)

good job !

Fun little platformer.  I enjoyed the light hearted dialogue.  Would've been nice to have some more interaction with the boss though.  Still had a good time with it though.
