what is the score based on? It seems to drop compared to the raw score based on the amount of ratings received?

the jam median is 12, if u have less than 12 ratings ur score gets penalized

Oof, no kidding. I lost a whole point across the board 😅

That was enough for my score to go from 3rd place to 50th 😱

Unfortunately the physics engine I used in Godot doesn’t support web builds 😞

luv ur game, looked super fun, was able to watch it played on stream ໒꒰ྀིᵔ ᵕ ᵔ ꒱ྀི১

but yeh... 'veggie run' taking 3rd place with 27 ratings feels well deserved. would feel a bit unfair to beat it with only 7 ratings ≽^•⩊•^≼

a web build would have definitely helped increase ur ratings... maybe next time u can write custom physics just for it to run on web ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!

Oh no worries. I understand the why and agree with it. 1 rating of 5 shouldn’t be higher than 100 ratings of 4, for example.

In hindsight I probably should have tried to get the default Godot physics working well enough for my idea. My tendency is to jump straight to jolt when I’m making something physics heavy tho.

Either way, it was a fun experience, and I’m glad I participated 😁

That's fair, but I don't understand why the list of games that needed ratings went all the way into the 20s then.

For minijam thats ongoing atm, theres only 38 submissions. and it just shows all the games from lowest rated to highest.

I dont think it filters based on number of ratings... its just shows a certain number of games, regardless of ratings.... so if the list needs to display 100 games, it would just list those regardless.
