Having watched Finding Nemo saved my playthrough haha. Very relaxing, congratz!

Developer

Thanks!

Couldn't figure out how to move/interact.  I could see my flippers and look around in 360, but one time I slowly floated to the top and another I slowly sank to the bottom seemingly without any control of where I was going.  :-(  Maybe something I'm doing wrong? (on Quest 2)

Developer

Try holding both grip buttons and pulling yourself forward!

thanks, I'll try again

So much more satisfying being able to move around.  I knew how to escape from watching the livestream, but it was fun trying the swimming mechanic.  I feel like I discovered new muscles in my shoulders!

Sweet Mechanics I dig swimming around, it was very relaxing,  but i really like the concept of how to swim with flippers, super unique.  I figured out the nemo hint for were to go and i saw the rocks but it didn't click I had not seen the movie in so long. lol either way great concept the swimming mechanic was spot on. I spent a decent amount of time perfecting my stroke to go as fast as possible. Fun.

Developer

Thanks so much! Haha l love the players who have to expert the mechanics :p

I love that you explored the swimming mechanic for an escape game. Sadly, I have weak VR legs so I wasn't able to play it for too long. It did seem to work properly though! I did find that there was a lack of direction in the game itself. I did watch your postmortem about the game, so I knew to jam the blades with rocks, but without watching that outside resource or watching the movie, it'd be hard to figure out what to do. The feeling of being in a fish tank with a larger room around you was really cool. Great work trying out new mechanics! Cheers!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I agree about the direction, next time I'll add in some signs or something lol

Mechanics were great, loved the music and the unique setting. Performance was a bit shaky on the Quest 2, I noticed that with mine as well, was first time using URP, not sure if that caused it.

If you had more time a tutorial in game would have been nice, other than that great job

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! And I totally agree there should have been some kind of tutorial or some hand-holding to direct the players.

it was very laggy on the Oculus Quest 1, and i got verry confused very quickly.

there are some things that seam like bugs but idk if they are.

Developer

Ah never tried it on the Quest 1, so didn't get to test the performance.

The interesting mechanics you came up for with this game are top notch. You definitely need a strong stomach to play this one, but it's not a movement mechanic I have ever used before and I picked it up after a few seconds. Brilliant. That's movement tech that could work in a whole new genre of games, great stuff.

I was excited to do something to get out of the tank but, I just swam up to the opening and swam into the air? Couldn't get stuck in the pipe either. I think it's missing a win condition or fail condition, the mechanics are cool and its nice to swim around but I wasn't able to do anything other than that.

Hey thanks for the feedback! Try playing it one more time, but jam the fan blade with a rock from the tank (like they did in the movie!)

lol finding nemo came out in 2003... I definitely didn't remember they did that. I'll give it another go!

Gave it another go! Got the tank nice and muddy and escaped! The rocks were a little janky holding onto them and trying to drop them on the spinning blades, its not quite clear whether I am inside the tank or outside the tank and some of the rocks got clipped into a oblivion so I dropped like 5 rocks to try and trigger the muddy water. I’m sure you had plans for some fish swimming around in there too, to really sell the "swimming" part of the experience. The movement is so good, with some fish swimming around it really would have sold that immersion.

Developer

Great idea! I should go back and clean it up and add some instuctions/hits as well as some fish or something. Thanks for playing my game!
