Neat game! I would definitely recommend working on turning off collision between the player body and the sword if you want to keep working on this game in the future - while jumping into space or backwards can be fun, it can also be very nauseating.

Switching between weapons, which caused the night/day switch was cool! But I had to look at the comment section to figure out that was possible, in the beginning I wasn't sure what "stone" was, so didn't know to touch it. Also, the sword would keep falling out of my hand when swapped. A more clear tutorial may be helpful in the future!

It was fun to slash at enemies though and see them fall down and show particle effects!

Developer

Yea I had some stuff come up during the game jam so a lot of stuff did not get finished. Thank you for the feedback though it will help a lot in my future games that are a lot less buggy.

Great game, that idea is super cool and creative. Lots of potential there for epic gameplay. I think you forgot to disable collision with the sword and the player cause if I put the sword/scythe under me, I can roleplay as a Saturn V Heavy Lift Launch Vehicle. 10/10, would go to space again.

Haha yea it was like taking lift off. No matter what I did they would still collide, I tried changing the layers everthing idk what was going on. But I am glad you like the concept.

I think I missed part. Cause only could kill black. Almost got to 5000 score. Was fun.

Developer

I am glad to hear you thought it was fun. You have to touch the stone on the sword and the glove together to switch weapons.

Nice work here! Liked the style a lot and would like to play a polished version someday now that we aren't in crunch time! Haha.

Developer

Yea I would love to make a more polished version in the future but I have some other larger projects that I am working on first.

Scene is well put together and the enemies give you good urgency.
The sound would have helped with the detection but that's a known time issue and like others I had a few issues with the killing of enemies.

Good job though.

Uses sound to say the game has no sound  hehe very nice.

Cool concept and fun use of the theme! I keep yeeting my sword away by accident. The gem-hand interaction is sweeeeet.

Developer

Thanks glad you like the interaction! Hoping to check out your game today.

This game has potential, but I was always killed by an enemy I haven't seen on my back so I couldn't play very long. Still it is a really nice idea, and nice graphics (those sexy white dudes tho :x). Switching to another realm is definitely fun. Also I might have been hallucinating but... I think some trees far away dance when I move my head xD

Developer

Haha yea the asset for the trees was glitchy when billboarding. The sound effects were supposed to let you here the enemies behind you.

No worries about the sound, everyone will have something they haven't finished. I struggled at first to get the weapons to switch so they kill the related enemy. The switching of weapons mechanic was cool, like the style of it!

Great looking game. though I did have some trouble while playing. if I put the sword under myself I could fly :). also I could only kill the dark guys. the white ones seemed unaffected by the sword which made me think I need a different weapon but couldn't find one while looking around. this was on quest 2.

Developer(+1)

I know you played the first version of the game that was not complete. I fixed a few bugs but the sword flying is still a thing. You have to touch the two stones together to change weapons.
