Super smooth and juicy! Loved all the effects, sounds and music, the overall experience is awesome!

Incredible submission! Ran well on my phone, controls didn't require me to cover my screen, looked great, good enemy AI, and allowed me to improve my character over time. Only nitpick: Some stages made it difficult to interact with the opponent.

I played the game on mobile, and it runs really well. The controls are good and easy to use, even on a small screen (iPhone 12 mini.)

It’s an extremely well polished entry with a lot of juice. I like a game with juice. It makes it a lot more rewarding when playing. I definitely need to take notes for my own games to make them just as juicy. The only spice I’m missing is some sound effects. I’m digging the music, and could listen to it forever. Did you make the music yourself too?

oh the music is a good ol adhesive wombat w

Easily the best I've played so far. The music fits, the graphics are well made, and the game is incredibly satisfying - you nailed the juice here. I also love that there is metaprogression through the shop, though it feels a little bit "tacked on" and like it goes against the competitive spirit of the game.

Some minor gripes (and they are minor!):

  • In a pixel art game, it tends to look and feel better if everything is aligned to a pixel grid. You've got rotations and scaling and things, and it just feels a little bit "off"
  • It's a really tough game actually. The controls feel a little weird, and its very easy to lose points for what feels like no reason. I think this might just be an issue with the fact that it's on mobile, and your thumb covers a good portion of the screen! Maybe some extra padding at the bottom would help prevent this? Or you could possibly make the player's collision box a little bigger than it should be visually - this is a very common "game feel" tactic.
  • The pixel font kinda sucks, it really takes away from the visual style. Check out https://chevyray.itch.io/pixel-fonts for some decent pixel fonts, I think "Thick Juicy Grapefruit" would go really well in this game.
  • Related to the above point, the pixel font on itch is abysmal and you should never use it ever. EVER. It's so bad, it actually puts me off playing a game.

oh my these fonts your suggested looks sick as hell, func fact the game is easier on laptops if you played with the trackpad which is just funni, maybe if i up the sensitivity on pc the mouse feels a lot better to use, it actually feels great on mobile
