Nice entry! You requested some feedback on discord, so here's my thoughts:
Layout:
Dungeon:
Much appreciated. Agreed it turns into a bit of a slog. I think if I went back and redid it, I'd add some kind of flair or traps, maybe a better puzzle. 100% agree on the Body font.
Eerie vibe, some fun magic items, I love a good boss fight too!
I love, the empasis on the visuals, and how much of the page seeps with atmosphere, I think the map has lacks versimilitude, witht the large unused spaces between the rooms, and i found some of the doors confusing.
I appreciate the constructive input. My mapping software leaves a little to be desired for the doors, I think. So the design of the map was based off the original story of "The Thief of Forthe" which gave a verbal description of how each room connected. I realize it's not 100% realistic in that regard. The large unused space was absolutely a mistake I should have cleaned up. Thanks for the look, regardless.
Great vibe, and I love Karlk, especially the mounting pressure of that Vengeance feature. Great work.
Thanks man, appreciate the kind words :)
This design feels like a trade paperback novel. nice.
Thanks. It's my first game jam submission and I wanted to keep it thematic to the pulp paperback vibe.
I held off checking out your submission until after I sent mine in. Yesterday, I noticed you also chose Forthe for your adventure, and I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw we both picked the same city! The original story was a great read, and your adventure was just as fun. Well done Crawler!
Maybe they can act as an anthology :)
