this was a super fun game with unique mechanics!
Thank you PracticalNPC!
Really cool take on the theme! Does a great job creating the rainy night atmosphere and making you feel important.
The only nitpicks I have are that the boats running into each other can become a bit distracting and that it would've been nice to have an additional mechanic/score to either make it more challenging or let me know how good I'm doing. Otherwise, great job!
Thank you Nathan and for the kind words! Nitpick is good! You raise a couple good points. :)
Hello Nathan, I add score tracker while playing and results screen at the end to see how you did. Thanks again!
A beautiful game ! The atmosphere is perfect too, it's quite calming.
Thank you Skymms! Glad you liked it.
Really interesting concept and I loved the no-UI approach! It felt quite atmospheric with the rain and minimalist audio. I felt like there should be some indicator for how much time had passed - if you wanted to keep the no-UI theme you could maybe have the scene gradually get lighter as the sun comes up, or ease the rain up over time?
There is also a bug when you finish the game, go back to the main menu and start a new game, it instantly jumps back to the end game screen.
Also a fun meta-game is seeing how many boats you can crash into each other :]
Thank you BlackVoidMedia! Thanks for feedback! Good ideas and suggestions. Appreciate you sharing issue with menu bug. Let me look into it. :)
Hello BlackVoidMedia, First with the bug. I was able replicate it and should be fixed now. I added a clock to count until sunrise. I also add both of your suggestions about it getting lighter and reducing the rain. It looks and feels much better now. Thanks again!
Hah, those idiots running into my lighthouse rock at ludicrous speed during such weather deserved what they got!
Atmospheric and pretty fun game!
Haha! Thank you CommodoreSixtyFour!
Really enjoyed this. Love the theme and the atmosphere created. It's very satisfying when you're able to divert multiple boats at once from hitting the rocks and each other. Would've liked to know what my score was and the voice at the beginning was a little hard to understand. I agree about the one of the other comments about a meter for the light so you have to use it more carefully.
Great work!
Thank you Omnificent! That's the feeling I was going for. Appreciate the feedback!
Hello Omnificent, I added a score while you are playing and results screen to see your final score. Also, Thanks for you feedback about the voice. I went ahead and re-recorded. Much clearer now. Lastly, I added a timer to the light so you can't keep it on all the time. ;)
Great, I'll give it another go
Really like the concept of the lighthouse, the controls are great and really intuitive.
Some ideas that came to mind while playing : maybe some type of UI showing how long you have to go (could be counting down until the sunrise), could also have a light meter, so that the player can't keep the light on all the time (maybe the bulb overheats).
The atmosphere works great with the setting! Really interesting idea and good execution!
Thank you Kneading Cat Studio! Glad you liked it. :) Those are some really good ideas!
Hey Kneading Cat Studio, I add some of your ideas. I add clock UI to that counts to Sunrise and added a timer to the light so you can't keep it all the time (due to power issue from the storm ;)).
Super atmospheric! You managed to create a really unsettling feeling whilst playing the game, a lot of fun directing ships!
Thank you hermitworlds! :)
