Challenging game! I included it in my Wowie Jam 2.0 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Sorry for the late reply! I retweeted and shared the video... I really appreciate you playing and sharing my game with the community! :)

Hey TANTRUMgames that KROM art Work you did for the game he looks like a OC Dragonball Z Charater

Submitted(+1)

that was challenging. Im not sure what purpose had the enemies. The fact that i couldnt deal with them made me wonder why they were there. It felt unfair to be stuck in a straight line with an enemy coming to get you, with no chances to escape from it

Developer

You have a defensive ability called the astral phase... the enemies will pass through you if you time it right... you can also use intuition when an enemy gets near you... press space bar and use the phase duration to escape danger. It's up to you how you approach navigating through the mazes. Thank you for playing and the feedback! ^ ^

Thank you for playing and the awesome comment! ^ ^

To slow and I couldn't see use of the theme. But sounds were amazing.

Very nice visuals and sounds. Not my type of games though. For me it's too slow paced (but that's the point) and it seems like you lose if you've passed the tile almost at the same time as it turns to a different color. Besides that I think the game is well made.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yes, being on the color tiles during a random change causes a bug. I have that on the "to-do" list among other key feedback from the community. Really appreciate the insight. ^ ^

I like a lot trying to get through the levels as fast as possible :D Great game, worth playing ;) Also feel free to check my game <3

Hard game but still fun. :)

I'm glad I didn't quit before the end, but you got to have some nerves ahah :p

You have a finished and nicely done game right here ! Really cool simple gameplay but with good evolution and variety, loved the labyrinth part.

Here's some ideas to improve it: reduce the character hitbox (a little bit too frustrating), new tiles with special effect (teleporters, speed booster, invincibility bonus for a short time), moving tiles for more level design / labyrinth possibilities, other sort of enemies (faster one), doors and keys... So many stuff can be added, this have a very good potential !

Thank you so much for the amazing comment and helpful feedback!!! I had a lot of the assets ready before the jam. (art and music/sounds from old projects) All of the development took place after... I've been making small games for 10 years, but I never really took anything serious until two years ago. I think that's why I'm getting good feedback about the look and tone of the game. I'm getting better at deving through all the mistakes I made with my older games. It feels good to make something that people actually like for once. Although, I still have a long way to go when it comes to game design and I'll get more adequate with more practice. I'll take everything you said into account and work on version 1.1 in the future. Again, thank you for your feedback! ^ ^

Incredibly soulful game! I really liked it! Nothing to add!

Submitted(+1)

Well, not sure about the intentional bugs haha but, well it's a cool concept but it didn't seem like the game communicated what was actually happening - better feedback would be better perhaps and, well if you're not supposed to die on a green square, you shouldn't die on a green square haha - perhaps instead of making it that you die if u walk into space, just make it that you can't walk into space. Also the benefit of astral mode wasn't clear since I still seemed to be dying while in astral mode - unless that was just a result of awkward timing but it seemed prevalent. Perhaps this is just my lack of skill haha!

Thank you for playing! I understood that the topic of the jam was unexplored territories in game design... I took the route that most retro games taught me... patience. The game sets the color tiles to a random color every X seconds, so sometimes you'll get three or four green tiles in a row for X amount of seconds... these are the moments to proceed forward. (or backwards depending on where you are) I understand that I may not have conveyed that very well in-game. Again, trial and error when it comes to game development lol! Thank you for you feedbacl! ^ ^

Submitted(+1)

Oh! Well, the topic mainly was "intentional bugs"! But yes Jonas did say to explore new territory in game design. Aw! In that case your idea was very creative!

Submitted(+1)

Good game, only  problem is  the dead scene (too long)

Submitted(+1)

Cool game, like the art!

It's definitely about patience!

Submitted(+1)

Not exactly my kind of game, especially with the long death animation. Also, the text faded a bit too quickly for me. I liked the sound and art though

Submitted(+1)

The sounds and theming were my favorite bits; for whatever reason my Firefox browser kept losing focus and scrolling out of the container which made things a bit frustrating but I don't think that's on you.  I couldn't consistently recreate the behavior but it was happening often.

Developer

Thank you for playing! It seems that recent updates to the browser has been causing issues... It's best to play the game in Chrome in my experience... less hiccups. Again, thank you for the play and feedback! ^ ^
