I liked the "secret mechanic" as an implementation of the theme, but I don't think hiding it was sensible. I assumed it was going to relate to getting hit, so I tried that, and didn't notice any difference. If you're going to make the player work the mechanic out for themselves, I think it needs more feedback. Maybe ramp up the music, or show a combo counter, or change the enemy colour. Anything to let me know that something changed.
Do the enemies always spawn from the corners? Try using Quaternion.AngleAxis with a random value from 0 to 360 to get a bit more variety.
The shooting was well polished, it felt satisfying to shoot, and more satisfying to land a hit.

fun experience for a few rounds. after a few rounds its get repetitive, I might consider an upgrade system or something to keep the player interested in playing longer. just a suggestion. great start tho. :)

interesting idea, but punishing the player for doing what they want to do, and the punishment is the game gets less fun. plays pretty bad in practice.
also, there's no need to hide the mechanic, the game is legit terrible if you don't know the mechanic.

After reading how the game works in the comments, i have to say that it is an interesting idea to implement the topic of the jam. I appreciate if there was a description of that in the game itself though.

Thanks for the feedback. But the jam theme is presented. To get more points, the player mustn't shoot every enemy. The more the player gets hit, the more enemies spawn. Goal of the game is to find out how many enemies to spawn and still to defeat enough of them to get the highscore. If the player hits more enemies, less will spawn.
Huh, this was an interesting little game. The main gameplay was very well done - the controls felt smooth and shooting was pretty satisfying too, so good work! I think it would've been better if the hint was just explained to you in-game though, since it's not very clear that not shooting in a shooter game would help you. It's still a pretty neat concept though, so nice work!

Oh nice, I didn't realise at first :)
i thought that it was really fun. it took me a bit to figure out that if you get hit more enemies spawn. really cool concept. another fun thing to do is shoot the enemies to the beat of the music.

It's a pretty simple and nice concept, the only thing I would fix is that I can easily just spam the shoot button and survive very easily. But still, great job!

Cool game, joocy and good feedback by the game, the controls are quite different, they allow you to just spin and spam space to win :/

While you can spam space to get points, it is not just the goal of the game to defeat enemies, but to get hit yourself (Losing is Progress) to let more enemies spawn, so you can get more points. This is not a game where the player can lose. But I will look into it
