Very nice game! I encountered multiple glitches but I decided to ignore them on my rating.

I didn’t really like the dash feeling though, the fact that dashing on a wall on one axis (say right or down) doesn’t behave the same way than dashing on two axis (say right and down). Threw me off multiple times.

Great job, I enjoyed my time playing it. I will look for updates on this one.

Thank you for your opinion on the controls! We are rewriting them in hope that they feel more natural. The dash causes a temporary increase of the slime's air friction with the intention to aid in parts that require precision with chained dashes and wall bounces, but it does feel unnatural in retrospective.

As for the glitches, they were a result of delaying the implementation of some critical gameplay mechanics to the last hours of the jam, and it was a miracle that we managed to submit a barely playable version of the game in time. We are all willing to work on an improved version with most bugs ironed out, a web version and a few mechanics that ended up left behind for the jam submission. Thank you for the encouragement!

Very hard game, it was not easy to figure out keyboard controls, but otherwise a great entry and fits the topic well, good job!

Thank you for playing!

I agree with everything that has been said the comments so far. The game is hard as balls, but I'd like to see this core idea fleshed out some more. Congrats on the submission everyone.

Thank you! I always find estimating difficulty quite hard and the movement not being quite there yet probably doesn't help

I came back to the game after getting some sleep. There is in issue with the checkpoints if you die too many times. I forgot to mention it earlier, but I got shoved further into the game then my abilities could handle. The game is still hard, but not nearly as bad as I might have made it seem earlier. I like the music, but the intro gets old after the first few times. However, it was a fun surprise the first time it happens so definitely leave the first trigger in. Peace.

After a few deaths you are redirected to a further part of the level, when you fail you progress. It was an intended part, however we might have not been able to pass that message in a clean way...

Thank you for the feedback!

Interesting game mechanics, with very good sound design and visuals. does have a couple bugs but if this were polished further I could see this as a full game on steam :)

Developer

Thank you and yeah we really tried to iron those bugs out, but at the end we didn't have much time

Whoa I did not expect that! I opened up the menu, clicked play, and dang the game looks and feels really polished for a game jam game. I would love to see you work on this more, once I got the movement figured out it was really satisfying and compelling movement scheme. It was good that I read the description before I played so I found out the movement controls, but I kind of get it I imagine the controls are better with a controller. I did bug out once when I died and then couldn't see my character, so a few things to fix, but I loved your idea.

Developer

Thank you! We are talking about at least improving our submission a little bit more.

It's OK, I'm not a huge fan of challenge platformers though.

Five points for Simplicity

Developer

That's ok too, thanks for playing!

Cool concept, but its too janky for me, and also you should not put controller only game in a game jam

Developer

Hi! You Can use the arrow keys and the "x" key to play!
