Solid entry! The graphics were detailed and polished; I loved the animations. My only suggestion would be to make the text box smaller or transparent. It filled too much screen space and made the platforming a bit harder. The movement was smooth, and everything felt nice. Overall, great game!

Nice entry to the jam. Cool twist on the platformer. Since the level is huge it would be nice to have some environment indicators on where to go.
Great graphics, interesting implementation of the theme, and funny dialog. If there was more time in the jam, I think wall jumping could make the game even better. I'm not entirely sure where I was supposed to be going though, as I found a door and pressed E on it, and then the game froze, but that might have just been the end of the game. Other than that, very cool game.

controls were a bit more complex than the beginning stated, was jumping added halfway through development?
actually this game was a prototype for a state machine i was trying to learn the original jump was responsive and smooth when i added levitatio n it gets floaty and stuff :(
Pretty fun platformer, the jump is a little floaty but otherwise it feels good to play. I think it could do with some indication for when the levitation is about to run out, and also it could be a little clearer where you're supposed to go to reach the end of the level. But otherwise, this is a cool entry!

I thought the timer only shows how long until it begins. Does it also show how long until it runs out?
I misinterpreted your original question. The levitation always lasts 5 seconds.
how did you count that ?
The timer sets itself back to the large number once the levitation starts, not when it ends.
Very interesting and cool concept for a game, I liked Merlins lines when you die or do something wrong.
The art pixel art style was pretty awesome
I enjoyed it a lot!
Needed some improvements and bug fixes in terms of levitation and somehow making the player posible to do infinite falling (dunno how I did it). Still, a very solid game!

Nice game, I think I am odd one out with controls, Most of the game including yours is designed with wasd keys (as I think it is more popular than arrows). For me I have rarely played any games with wasd keys so I am little bit uncomfortable as I have to play with my left hand (however I think I would have to get used to with it xD).a Anyway even after that I enjoyed it a lot.
I noticed one bug where when you die on the water at start of level, you spawn outside the platforming area and keep falling and don't die lol
Also I wished that dialog doesn't appear every time I flew upwards as it was obstructing where I was going and it became more annoying than funny
Otherwise great game and unique concept.
you can also use the arrow keys in right side of keyboard, and yeah there is a bug with spawn points that causes you to spawn in air

Cute game! The characters are great. I think it would be nice if the dialogue moved a bit faster though - and it would be best if you could skip out of it pretty quickly when it comes up during the platforming sections... It can obstruct your view a little bit! Nice job though ^^
Nice art style and textures. I like the change of a classical wizard.
The pixel art was really cute! Also the animations and platforming had a nice feeling, with some sound effects they could become veeery juicy.
I didn't like the double jump tho, with no sound effect and it's limited effect it has a poor feedback.
It didn't felt really in theme also, but this is a great base for a full release I think!

The characters looked really cute. The control info at the beginning was more confusing than helpful. Since jumping wasn't listed, I thought for a while that I can only rely on levitation.

Fun little platformer! Though it didn't really feel like I was collaborating with an AI, rather than having an ability on a timer…
originally i added effects like earthquake fire damage , guns and stuff then realized its too over scoped so i made levitation themed game :)

This is a nice platformer! I really like the dialogues and the gravity mechanic! Here goes some feedback: You don't need to make Merlin speak everytime he makes you levitate. Just the first time is enough. Also, it'd be better if you make the levitation timer more visible! Besides that, great work ^^
i actually thought of this as it was pretty annoying i will update it as soon as the jam ends as for the timer part i do agree with you, thanks for reviewing though i will review your jam when i get home
This is a solid submission! The dialouges are very nice and sometimes pretty funny, the gravity mechanic is pretty good. It's a bit confusing what your goals are, but overall really nice job!
Merlin challenged you to a platformer challenge but with levitation ypur goal is to beat the platform ( 3 levels ) and prove him wrong and also i made this game in like 6 hours so it needs more polishing, thanks for reviewing my game 😄
It’s interesting to see gravity flip implemented within platformers… overall, enjoyable game. I like the cutscenes and dialogue system - great effort!

Oh, sorry - I might append some feedbacks though, sometimes it’s kind of hard to figure out the direction you’re supposed to go towards, and sometimes you can end up stuck in the middle of the sky. Something to show the direction or a feature to return to last checkpoint might be helpful :)
i mean i do have a checkpoint system 🗿, directional arrow seems like a good idea
