Jasper has my heart and is forever #1, mainly because of his obvious silent devotion and inner turmoil over following his duties vs. his feelings. Another big reason is that it is hinted that he is even more capable than what you already see in-game based on how everyone comments that he will beat people up/arrange for assassinations if your character isn't treated correctly, haha. Even though a lot of times when those comments are made they are in jest, with how so many different people said more or less the same thing it got me wondering.

As for the others, it speaks to the strength of the writing in this game that I have so much difficulty narrowing down my list of top five! If you ask me broader of favorite character in general my list would have pretty much everyone except the Jiyel diplomat, haha (Aly really hit the nail on the head with ye olde Chinese dramas with his rambling of blood prestige and Jiyel superiority). If I had to though I would say that after Jasper my favorites are Hamin, Clarmont, Lyon, and Zarad in no particular order.

Omg have you successfully got Jasper's romance ending?? Please help, ya girl is struggling - I didn't manage to get enough of his romance flags by the end.

Besides missing his own secret path starting in Week 2? I guess??? Do I need to spend more than 1 time slot in my room with him Week 4 - on? Am I missing something else? (Since I did everything else the already existing Week 1-3 guide said to do.)

((threefish303 if you have wisdom on this please share with meeee.))

Besides Jasper as my obvious bias LOL (who I am TRYING to pair with my main MC, which is my Corval Lady); I also really enjoy Clarmont and Lyon's romances the best.

Every week, you need to visit him in your room to boost up romance points. From there on, make sure to get every Historian secret (there's three of them) and choose to forget marriage and romance altogether at the Matchmaker's meetings. Those should help you get on his path eventually.

(1 edit)

Yeah, like I said, I did do that (but not the Historian secrets, I mentioned that too. I've also read that they're technically optional??? On other places of the forum since I posted this. Though to be fair I've sussed out that for Jasper's romance endings it MAYBE goes something like Worst/Not Very Happy [no Historian Secrets]; Married but strained because Jasper never fully opens up to MC [w Historian Secrets??]; and Happy Jasper End [w all four Legendary Endings between the kingdoms, idk if Historian Secrets make a difference or not.)

I was thinking that maybe I made some wrong conversation choices in weeks 4-6 to make me miss enough points, because I also got a perfect acquittal for Imogan figuring that also might help, but that wasn't enough.

List of what I DID do:

- Friendly Intro, Invite Jasper/Ria/Sayra for Breakfast, Invite him to First Event, Asked him to investigate the note [option three], "Explore" my Room once each Week I could, Compromised with Jasper and Hamin, Picked "People are terrible, Jasper", Chose no marriage or romance at the final Matchmaker interview, have good relationships with Ria and Sayra, got perfect Acquittal for Imogen, and got 2/4 Legendary Endings (Peace for Revaire, and for the Jiyel/Arland conflict)

So yeah, I'm thinking other than the Historian secrets I got some dialogue options wrong further down the line. Do you remember what you picked?

Did Jasper try to talk to you about choosing your own path just before meeting the matchmaker during week 3? That's the sign that you unlocked his path. You don't need to spend more than once per week in your room to get high romance with him. Other things to do is to try and invite him to your 1st event (he will decline but you get points), be friendly to your maids and offer them breakfast, and during the trial starting in week 4 you have to do two things: 1) push for why the head butler is not letting you help Imogen more instead of dropping the topic BUT 2) when you talk to Jasper in your room in week 4 DO NOT try to push for more info out of him. You also get an automatic scene where you worry about him, so choose the option where you ask him to lay down his burdens. Once you get him to sit down and talk to you, pretty much all of the choices afterwards for that conversation will get you romance points from him. After week 4, just continue to go to your room once a week and you will be in the clear!

If you are too busy with increasing your stats, you do NOT need to complete the historian chain, but doing so will definitely get you a happier ending with Jasper, so I recommend it! It also explains some of his behaviors and gives some insight into his backstory (I've been told though that we won't be able to fully find out what is going on though until the secret backgrounds are released).

Yes, I did all that including the 'lay down your burdens' option, so maybe I messed up by pushing for more information both times. So I will go back and not push for more information the second time (on the Explore Bedroom talk during Week 4 I did pick 'Promise not to talk about the trial' already if that's what you mean. I saw somewhere that apparently the response you give Jasper after the ride in Week 2 negatively or positively affects the relationship with him? I chose the (paraphrasing) 'I'm as good as I can be considering someone tried to kill me" option, but saw that the "I'm not sure how I feel" option gives the most relationship improvement. Maybe that's how I missed his ending? EDIT: LMAO oops I went back and realized that I missed Jasper's Week 6 conversation between preparing for the ball, stat-raising and gaining faction approval so I will probably get it now.) and also do the Historian chain if I can.

And also figure out how to build my stats to get all four Legendary endings for his best ending. Maybe that will only work from New Game+ after I complete other romance routes first though.

Thank you for your help!

You welcome! Glad you figured it out! I am aiming to all legendary endings to eventually get Jasper's epilogue too after getting stat boosts. Jasper is tricky to successfully romance because he is so devoted to his duty, but he is totally worth it! Good luck!

He is very much worth it!! I know it not only because I like Jasper and the romance itself, but because although I didn't get the historian secrets this (my first) go-around for his route; I still had a happy marriage with him because I got 2/4 legendary endings.

(Though I expect if you only got the Revaire legendary ending + no worst endings for the other three, it would still be enough to get the happy marriage prompt. Since the Isle's agreement with Katyia continues because peace still exists, and even as a Historian Jasper believes in Katyia's legacy which is why he wants MC to succeed so much especially because he can't directly interfere.)

I still haven't figured out how to get the Wellin/Skalt or the Corval/Hise legendary endings though. The best (and only) ending I've got for Wellin/Skalt is the green ending (which I guess is the best ending under Legendary, but I really have to wonder what I'm missing to get the best) and for Corval/Hise the best I've managed to get is the blue ending lol (and again, no idea what I'm missing because I've managed to get them to agree to a certain marriage, form a joint merchant fleet and successfully remind them that they weren't always at odds through the history stat so again, not sure what I'm missing lol.)

And forcing myself to do Jarrod, Gisette, Woodley and Kade's routes (when his comes out) for the stat boosts is going to be so hard, I am going to be crying tears of anger and frustration the whole time lol. Plus romancing Kade when I love Jasper the most of everyone will feel like a betrayal. BUT WE FIGHT ON -

For Jasper!!!

Good Luck to you as well, fellow Jasper Lover.

if it helps you might only have to do one playthrough for jarrod and gisette - jarrod doesn't give you any stat bonuses if you romance him on his own

Oh thank you, that's excellent news!!

Yeah personally I'm not sure on Corval and Hesie, but for Wellin and Skat, I know. You need to choose 'share medical information', 'trade benefits', 'monopolise on cutlery'. But also get high respect for Penelope by chosing the highest bonus dialogue, and tell her she can do more for her family than marry an old man. She'll come to you and share her fears which you have to tell her there's only some things she can do. I think talking to Ana about peace in week 6 is also good.

Monopolize on cutlery rather than weaponize cutlery? I've never seen that, and have done everything else successfully, so it looks like this is the only thing I'm missing. Do you need a high practical knowledge to get this option?

whops I meant weaponise cultery, I was just typing from memory. You should like boost up friendship points with Ana by inviting her to events and telling Lise 'what are your goals this summit' and at the ball ' the worlds in safe hands, we'll make sure of that'.

(1 edit)

Oh okay!! I do have high friendship with Ana so I guess I need to ask Lisle 'what are your goals' and say (to him?) at the ball 'the world is in safe hands.' It's funny because I think I only got that option once and it was when I asked 'what are your goals' rather than choosing the 'how are you doing' or 'tell me something no one else knows about you' options. Thank you!
