You welcome! Glad you figured it out! I am aiming to all legendary endings to eventually get Jasper's epilogue too after getting stat boosts. Jasper is tricky to successfully romance because he is so devoted to his duty, but he is totally worth it! Good luck!

I finally got the achievement for Lisle and his epilogue! I didn't realize that you were supposed to take the initiative to invite him out during week 3 even though he never gives you a gift. Thanks for all of your help!

Has anyone else gotten the impression that the strongest fighter in the game isn't Anaele, but Jasper instead? I didn't pay much attention when I first played the demo but now that the full game is out and multiple people besides just the delegates keep mentioning that Jasper will arrange an assassination/duel people to the death/beat people up if the MC isn't treated well, I am suspecting that he is hiding some serious moves. I also totally didn't imagine it that when the delegates were arguing outside the MC's room, those two thumps before Jasper walked in were Jasper teaching them a lesson in disturbing his charge's rest.

Oh, that makes sense! Do you have any suggestions for how to trigger him as an option when asking the Matchmaker? I've managed multiple times to successfully complete both his and Penelope's friend events now, but I've never seen him show up as an option when talking to the Matchmaker.

Did Jasper try to talk to you about choosing your own path just before meeting the matchmaker during week 3? That's the sign that you unlocked his path. You don't need to spend more than once per week in your room to get high romance with him. Other things to do is to try and invite him to your 1st event (he will decline but you get points), be friendly to your maids and offer them breakfast, and during the trial starting in week 4 you have to do two things: 1) push for why the head butler is not letting you help Imogen more instead of dropping the topic BUT 2) when you talk to Jasper in your room in week 4 DO NOT try to push for more info out of him. You also get an automatic scene where you worry about him, so choose the option where you ask him to lay down his burdens. Once you get him to sit down and talk to you, pretty much all of the choices afterwards for that conversation will get you romance points from him. After week 4, just continue to go to your room once a week and you will be in the clear!

If you are too busy with increasing your stats, you do NOT need to complete the historian chain, but doing so will definitely get you a happier ending with Jasper, so I recommend it! It also explains some of his behaviors and gives some insight into his backstory (I've been told though that we won't be able to fully find out what is going on though until the secret backgrounds are released).

(1 edit)

I finished my run as the Corval court lady and after finishing romancing Woodly (which is not my cup of tea, but at least he is honest about his intentions if you bring it up to him and he and the court lady seem to suit each other) and successfully befriended Lisle at max friendship while also ending up in a political marriage with him. I know his secret already, but since I haven't seen him discussed as much I wanted to ask if it is possible to get an epilogue for Lisle? I'm not sure what I am missing since I also had Penelope at max friendship, got her to go to Skalt, and got her epilogue, but Lisle's epilogue didn't show up. Not sure what I need to trigger his.

I beelined for Jasper first as soon as the demo came out and also aimed for him first as soon as the game got EA, and I can confirm that you don't need to finish the historian chain to successfully romance Jasper, but the ending is definitely a lot happier if you do (yup, I totally went back for him multiple times). To unlock his epilogue though, you need to finish the historian chain AND complete some legendary requirements, which I have yet to do. Like the previous post commented, visit your room every week, be nice to servants (stand up for Sarya, offer them your breakfast, etc). For Imogen's trial make sure you ask him why the head butler won't let you question Imogen, BUT make sure you don't push him for more info a little bit afterwards when you notice that he is tired and invite him to sit down and talk with you.

I can confirm that it is definitely possible to achieve a peaceful Revaire ending with following Katyia's legacy with the Arland princess even pre-1.10--it is very tricky, but I managed to do it while aiming to romance Clarmont. There's a lot of planning to make sure you have 250 persuasion by the time week 1 ends so that you can pick following Katyia's legacy for your ambition. You have to make sure that your weaknesses aren't related to persuasion AND likability (unless you have a ton of bonus stats) because with everything going on you can miss some major stat checks while trying to make up for the loss. You don't have to befriend Gisette or talk to her during day 1, but do make sure that you max out your success during the play. Playing opposite her as Serah during the play with perfect success opens up a special conversation with Gisette and increases your respect with her, which will be handy when you try to negotiate for peace.

Interestingly enough, when I try to aim for Revaire peace with other builds I have a lot more trouble. I have tried several times as a Jiyel scholar (my default) and some other builds, and either I can't befriend Sarya and get her to open up, or when talking to her I can't get the peace option to show up.

Jasper has my heart and is forever #1, mainly because of his obvious silent devotion and inner turmoil over following his duties vs. his feelings. Another big reason is that it is hinted that he is even more capable than what you already see in-game based on how everyone comments that he will beat people up/arrange for assassinations if your character isn't treated correctly, haha. Even though a lot of times when those comments are made they are in jest, with how so many different people said more or less the same thing it got me wondering.

As for the others, it speaks to the strength of the writing in this game that I have so much difficulty narrowing down my list of top five! If you ask me broader of favorite character in general my list would have pretty much everyone except the Jiyel diplomat, haha (Aly really hit the nail on the head with ye olde Chinese dramas with his rambling of blood prestige and Jiyel superiority). If I had to though I would say that after Jasper my favorites are Hamin, Clarmont, Lyon, and Zarad in no particular order.

Just did another run with a different build (I managed to bring peace as an Arland princess while romancing Clarmont) as a Jiyel scholar and I can definitely confirm that there's some hidden stat needed in order to get the option to aim for peace to pop up. I tried messing around with the choices for when you talk with Sarya on the guide I posted the link to and the option for peace didn't pop up. I'm guessing it has to do with persuasion or manipulation, or maybe people? I would need to look back on my saves and compare my stats.

Someone just posted a link to a guide to how to bring peace to Revaire: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17P7Q0qq6xIPYoGJYAAzh1RH6SLvRHKFvjd7jSAfGxXU/edit

I managed to stumble upon it after banging my head against the wall before the guide, but I think it has to do with persuasion as well? I didn't keep track of the choices I picked, but I think I picked the same choices more than once and I noticed that the option for peace showed up only once I had a high enough persuasion. I can't confirm if that is really true though since by that point I was so relieved that I didn't want to go back and reload to see the difference in stats 😂

I think it has to do with the ambition for sure. I tried to go for a peaceful end for Revaire while romancing Clarmont as a Arland princess and had to reset multiple times because I couldn't get Sarya to confess to me either, which ended up with Clarmont dying and my poor princess widowed before marriage (and also a bad end). I ended up resetting multiple times trying different things, and Sara's respect and friendship seems to be tied to rebel approval. I ended up having to redo my character build to make sure I had at least 250 persuasion to get Katyia's legacy as a choice by the time the speech comes around. I noticed that once I did, I received Mrs. White's gift during week 3, which I didn't despite having the rebel approval bar at 3.5 before restarting. I think you also need to find all rebel secrets and find out who the true murder is too during the trial and complete a successful complete defense.

Incidentally, I managed to get perfect completion of the play and noticed that it greatly boosted approval all around in general. It is definitely not easy (I had to do a lot of planning to make sure I had the minimum stats based on some guides), but if you play around with your stats to make sure you have at least 250 persuasion, it should be a lot easier. I chose to play a lead role in the play and got roped into playing Serah. When I tried to pick another role, Jaslen forced me into Serah's anyways. I don't know if things will be different if you chose to work backstage. Hope all of these observations help you get Sarya to open up to you!

I was trying to get the peaceful ending while romancing Clarmont with the Arland princess background, and after multiple resets I managed to do it! You don't need to befriend Gisette, but it seems like having a semblance of respect from her helps. I managed to get full success during the play and played opposite of her as Serah, which greatly boosts all approval and earns a fair bit of respect. I had to consult the guide for the stat checks, so this is probably going to be a lot easier in story mode. Hope that helps!
