I didn't mean that I was thinking that there was a background check either, just that the clue check to be able to choose Lee after a perfect investigation wasn't firing on the Pirate background specifically. My bad for not being clear enough.

Oh I know, but I just mean that I *did* do the investigation correctly. I've played the whole game a few times already with no issues and just doing the same as always, but it wasn't showing up this time playing as a Pirate. I started another Widow play through last night, did the same and got the option to choose Lee though. That's why I was mainly wondering if it was maybe a background only bug?

Though maybe I did miss something by accident that playthrough? I'll check for Pirate again and edit this comment later. Anyway, thanks for responding. <3

When playing the Hise Pirate route I am unable to choose that Lee is the one who murdered Lord Adalric while preparing for the trial even though I gave the correct deduction to Kade and got his help.

You sure? I've seen 50 Courage or 50 Poise on the 7KPP wikia (when I looked a few weeks ago at least.) I'll go and test it because obviously, as the Princess I don't have the required manipulation or courage and I just looked at my princess save (my first ng+) and in character creation I didn't give her the (alleged) required poise either.

Will report back!! EDIT: Yeah, 50 Poise doesn't do it, sorry friend.

It's impossible to find out the identity of that assassin (right now) I think Aly mentioned that we'll be able to find out when playing the "Player of The Grand Game" secret background once it comes out.

You can also pass Jarrod's date check with 50 Poise too if I'm not mistaken.

Ideas for New Game+ bonuses for in-game achievements:

- In Demand (+10 People Knowledge);

- Maybe bonuses for all Perfectly Hosted Events or hosting 2 Perfect Events in a single playthrough;

- A Perfect Introduction (+5 Charm & +5 Charisma);

- Self Sufficient (+5 Courage or Street Smarts or Self Defense & +5 Poise);

- Dual Thorns (+5 Insight or People & +5 Cunning);

- Whatever the Got All the Gifts achievement is (+5 Cunning & +5 Insight);

- Gifted Extraordinare (+5 Insight & +5 People);

- Marvellously Misjudged (+5 Manipulation & +5 Cunning or just +10 Manipulation);

-Miracle Worker (+5 Eloquence & +5 People or Booksmarts);

- A Star is Born (+5 Charisma & +5 Poise);

- Solo Dance (+5 Self Defense & +5 Street Smarts);

- Whatever the hosting a Perfect Ball achievement is (+5 Beauty & +5 Practical Knowledge or just +10 Practical Knowledge);

- If there's an achievement for successfully Reforming Jarrod (+5 Manipulation & +5 Warfare or Cunning)

Only click the bottom note when two show at the same time? Thank you, I was wondering what I was doing wrong since I did press each button once like the instructions said.

My MCs so far (I'm meditating on names to give my Rebel, Historian and Weaver MCs);

Yasmin is my Corval Lady, and is a rarity for the court she hails from as she is highly noble, compassionate, moral (and ambitious, but that's not out of the norm for the Corval court) and I consider her my canon MC for the game. I tried the 'blackmail Aamir' option first but it wasn't satisfying in any way, so ultimately she decides to get her hands dirty once and has him assassinated for the good of everyone. She romances Jasper, and I'm fighting for my life trying to figure out how to get the Wellin/Skalt (have only gotten and can't get higher than green)  and Corval/Hise legendary endings to get all four for the Jasper Best Ending Epilogue. In anycase, she thrives with helping to continue the peace between the seven kingdoms during her own summit and beyond, successfully continuing Katyia's Legacy. They end up having two kids in the future (Aster Anwar [son] and Lily Lamia [daughter] are twins, and both names are references to the Stardust Lillies. Aster and Lily are self explanatory, but Anwar [meaning bright/luminous] and Lamia [meaning shining/radiance] are their "public" names. Meaning that's what they go by when Yasmin sends letters home [whether they are for her mother, or Zarad or Avalie both of whom she befriended at the summit, etc. you get the point, And also when the three of them go to Corval to visit. Aster and Lily are only used on the Isle.) Aside from husband Jasper and their future children (and her mom of course), she has friends she loves  from every kingdom and has charmed all the delegate romances (aside from Gisette and Jarrod and I don't count Lisle since he's gay), but she also adores her girl gang (Penelope, Cordelia and Avalie.) Sisterhood for life!!!

(The only thing here that's not close is that her style is different, and she favours wearing purple most of the time.)

Grace is my Arland Princess romancing Lyon, and although she's good and kind she does work with Zarad to assassinate Aamir to free her sister from their marriage and is ecstatic when Constance comes to live with her in Jiyel. She's truly living her best life at the end, getting to see her sister every day, landing a kind and loving (and handsome but that's secondary) husband that loves her for who she truly is and values and encourages her thirst for knowledge and other new interests. I also headcanon that she and Lyon end up having like 4-6 kids because they are Obsessed With Each Other TM and on god they're going to build the warm happy family they've both always wanted. And that Constance teases the hell out of them for this (in a very polite way, of course) and ends up as the busiest auntie of the century lmao.

(This is pretty close to how she looks except she wears her curls down, and her eyes are actually pink like her lipstick, or like cherry blossoms.)

Esmeralda is my main Hise MC who romances Zarad. Her falling for him was completely unexpected and very much by accident which was mostly instigated by her massive curiousity and love of banter (and a good mystery.) So she really SHOULD have known her feelings were coming, but she didn't. Plus all her previous relationship were much simpler but then again, that's why they ended because they became predictable. For example, if everyday is an adventure, nothing really is, etc. And the people she dated before were much less complex and for some that's not a bad thing...but suffice it to say, to someone like her Zarad is really the gift that keeps on giving (though she would never EVER say that out loud to him or anyone since he'd be SO smug about it.) So she never gets bored or tired of him, and only finds more reasons to love him over all the years they spend together. Despite all this, she's actually much more level-headed than you'd think and against her own expectations (but not Zarad's) to her own surprise she not only survives Corval, but thrives as well. Though she always have a streak of wanderlust, and her moments of being half serious of 'Shall I kidnap you today my love? Shall we sail away around the world and never return?' 'Alas my Star, as always your offers tempt me so, but the only time I could never look back, and move forward with a clear conscious is when I retire.' or something to that affect lol. Unfortunately for both of them, that's going to happen later rather than sooner since there's no option to have Zarad's eldest brother offed on this route. But the other bright side is that Esmeralda and Sina adore each other and end up as thick as thieves.

Vanessa is my Widow MC who despite being a very adept social climber is actually extremely introverted, and hates every second she has to stay out after her social battery runs out. (But she sucks it up, first as a model eldest-daughter and secondly, later on, to help the rebuilding of Revaire.) She did not murder her husband, and she didn't mourn him (publicly or otherwise), and she didn't enter her marriage bed with him either. So while she will always be grateful to him for marrying her so she could support her siblings, she never had any particular affection for him either. So her mixed reputation is deserved. And while I will be using her to marry Lisle from the earliest point she can (approved by the Matchmaker instead of pursuing him later on) to get his (and Woodley's??? if I can get both) stat boosts; her plans to marry high up for the sake of her siblings falls apart when Clarmont brings out a softer side of her, and they end up falling for each other. (Clarmont is her canon romance.) After marrying him, she'd have to give up her barony in its entirety so she has even less to help support her siblings than what she'd started the summit with - but between Clarmont's close ties to Queen Sayra, her own talents, and her sister Emmaline's hard work, soon enough they can support all of her siblings and warmly welcome them to live with her and Clarmont. After the business of raising her younger siblings, her and Clarmont end up having only one blood child, a daughter named after his own younger sister though Elspeth is her middle name (I haven't figured out a first name yet.)

Annabelle is my Wellin Countess MC who very much has a chaotic mix of golden retriever and orange cat energy. However, despite that she was able to successfully expose her hater-slanderer and avoid being kicked off the isle in disgrace. She has never harmed anyone in her life!!!!! She is innocent your honour!!!! Swings back and forth between 'I'm having so much fun! This is a new adventure!!' And 'get me outta hereeeee there's politics and murder in this joint." Extremely blunt, but makes up for it with her charismatic ways and pretty privilege. She romances Hamin and Anaele on different playthroughs. Leaning towards Hamin as being the canon romance of the two though (sorry Ana.)

Jienne is my Jiyel Scholar MC who romances Emmett. It's an unusual match of very different personalities that neither of them anticipated, but they make it work. (Although, the first time I attempted this pairing I actually didn't get enough romance points to start with so Emmett broke up with her with no chance of changing his mind lol. So I went back part way and second time was the charm.) To begin with, when going to the summit she didn't have any hopes or expectations going into it because A. her having been picked to go last minute B. being rather indifferent to romance, because it's something that she'd never experienced before - herself or witnessing it in other people close to her. So she was kind of like 'whatever happens, happens - I'll just focus on diplomacy as best I can.' Then all of a sudden there's sunshine Emmett who's kind, intelligent in his own right and genuinely listens to everything she says with enthusiasm in a way that's different from her peers and she's just like '...what is this?? Am I...Feeling?!?!??!!?!???'

(Her hair is actually pine green and her eyes are supposed to be the same colour as her lipstick.)

I'm with @Justine on why Evangeline is also a good name for our villainess.

(3 edits)

Vanessa which means 'butterfly' which is a graceful and unassuming name on the surface; but it also sounds like it could belong to one of those 'dignity laugh' villainesses from 90s anime. But if that's not the villainess vibe you're going for, then there's still the appeal to give a sweet-sounding name to a more serious, ruthless-leaning villainess too.

Voting for Fabian and Ursula!!!

(1 edit)

I like this name!! Though my personal opinion is that the rival should either be female or NB so either Liana or Li would be good. (Li, Lian and Liana - I just like the sound of these names.)

+1 !!

May I suggest - Jian Yu, written as 建宇 (jiàn yǔ) meaning 'build universe' or Hao Yu, written as 皓宇 (hào yǔ) meaning 'bright universe'?

+1 !!

I like the name Tristan for all genders (and yes, I actually knew a girl Tristan in elementary school.)

I also like Nathaniel / Thaniel as a nickname !!

(1 edit)

Oh okay!! I do have high friendship with Ana so I guess I need to ask Lisle 'what are your goals' and say (to him?) at the ball 'the world is in safe hands.' It's funny because I think I only got that option once and it was when I asked 'what are your goals' rather than choosing the 'how are you doing' or 'tell me something no one else knows about you' options. Thank you!

Monopolize on cutlery rather than weaponize cutlery? I've never seen that, and have done everything else successfully, so it looks like this is the only thing I'm missing. Do you need a high practical knowledge to get this option?

Oh thank you, that's excellent news!!

He is very much worth it!! I know it not only because I like Jasper and the romance itself, but because although I didn't get the historian secrets this (my first) go-around for his route; I still had a happy marriage with him because I got 2/4 legendary endings.

(Though I expect if you only got the Revaire legendary ending + no worst endings for the other three, it would still be enough to get the happy marriage prompt. Since the Isle's agreement with Katyia continues because peace still exists, and even as a Historian Jasper believes in Katyia's legacy which is why he wants MC to succeed so much especially because he can't directly interfere.)

I still haven't figured out how to get the Wellin/Skalt or the Corval/Hise legendary endings though. The best (and only) ending I've got for Wellin/Skalt is the green ending (which I guess is the best ending under Legendary, but I really have to wonder what I'm missing to get the best) and for Corval/Hise the best I've managed to get is the blue ending lol (and again, no idea what I'm missing because I've managed to get them to agree to a certain marriage, form a joint merchant fleet and successfully remind them that they weren't always at odds through the history stat so again, not sure what I'm missing lol.)

And forcing myself to do Jarrod, Gisette, Woodley and Kade's routes (when his comes out) for the stat boosts is going to be so hard, I am going to be crying tears of anger and frustration the whole time lol. Plus romancing Kade when I love Jasper the most of everyone will feel like a betrayal. BUT WE FIGHT ON -

For Jasper!!!

Good Luck to you as well, fellow Jasper Lover.

Yes, I did all that including the 'lay down your burdens' option, so maybe I messed up by pushing for more information both times. So I will go back and not push for more information the second time (on the Explore Bedroom talk during Week 4 I did pick 'Promise not to talk about the trial' already if that's what you mean. I saw somewhere that apparently the response you give Jasper after the ride in Week 2 negatively or positively affects the relationship with him? I chose the (paraphrasing) 'I'm as good as I can be considering someone tried to kill me" option, but saw that the "I'm not sure how I feel" option gives the most relationship improvement. Maybe that's how I missed his ending? EDIT: LMAO oops I went back and realized that I missed Jasper's Week 6 conversation between preparing for the ball, stat-raising and gaining faction approval so I will probably get it now.) and also do the Historian chain if I can.

And also figure out how to build my stats to get all four Legendary endings for his best ending. Maybe that will only work from New Game+ after I complete other romance routes first though.

Thank you for your help!

(1 edit)

Yeah, like I said, I did do that (but not the Historian secrets, I mentioned that too. I've also read that they're technically optional??? On other places of the forum since I posted this. Though to be fair I've sussed out that for Jasper's romance endings it MAYBE goes something like Worst/Not Very Happy [no Historian Secrets]; Married but strained because Jasper never fully opens up to MC [w Historian Secrets??]; and Happy Jasper End [w all four Legendary Endings between the kingdoms, idk if Historian Secrets make a difference or not.)

I was thinking that maybe I made some wrong conversation choices in weeks 4-6 to make me miss enough points, because I also got a perfect acquittal for Imogan figuring that also might help, but that wasn't enough.

List of what I DID do:

- Friendly Intro, Invite Jasper/Ria/Sayra for Breakfast, Invite him to First Event, Asked him to investigate the note [option three], "Explore" my Room once each Week I could, Compromised with Jasper and Hamin, Picked "People are terrible, Jasper", Chose no marriage or romance at the final Matchmaker interview, have good relationships with Ria and Sayra, got perfect Acquittal for Imogen, and got 2/4 Legendary Endings (Peace for Revaire, and for the Jiyel/Arland conflict)

So yeah, I'm thinking other than the Historian secrets I got some dialogue options wrong further down the line. Do you remember what you picked?

(1 edit)

Omg have you successfully got Jasper's romance ending?? Please help, ya girl is struggling - I didn't manage to get enough of his romance flags by the end.

Besides missing his own secret path starting in Week 2? I guess??? Do I need to spend more than 1 time slot in my room with him Week 4 - on? Am I missing something else? (Since I did everything else the already existing Week 1-3 guide said to do.)

((threefish303 if you have wisdom on this please share with meeee.))

Besides Jasper as my obvious bias LOL (who I am TRYING to pair with my main MC, which is my Corval Lady); I also really enjoy Clarmont and Lyon's romances the best.

The new art looks great! And I can't wait to hear all the new music. I agree that you should also sell the game here on itch.io as well.

Awesome, thank you!!

Yes, this is what pops up for me:

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the save function isn't working for this build, at least on the desktop version.

Def survived longer than I thought I would. Glad that when I lost to someone, it was to 'Dumplings are good III' my defeat was honourable.

My knight is Melisende (a knight OC of mine) and her stats are: 15 Health, 20 Dexterity, and 10 Damage.

Good luck out there fellow knights!!

I'm so excited!!!

Really enjoyed the update with the Flower rescue and the fight with Papyrus!! Also, there was an error in the code that says I flirted with everyone, even though I only flirted with Flowey.

(1 edit)

Okay, I was about to try it after I re-tested taking the prototype, and its been fixed to work now. Thank you though!!

Ahhh nice, I'm excited!

(1 edit)

Oh, okay unexpected!! I had no idea the keys would affect Noel's ending that (and lol encouraging Noel and Faye to fight? - that's so funny, or maybe do you mean fight Hordes and the TT Guys with Mitts before that?) I will try that thank you!! I went to sleep this morning feeling so sad I couldn't get this ending LOL - YOU are an angel cyno!!  \^_^/

(1 edit)

Oh wow I thought the one where Noel calls you his best friend and the cg where he's eating jello with Roadkill was the only platonic ending, but there's another one??? Damn, but I am CLUELESS on how to get his romance ending too RIP me I'm so distraught. Literally I've tried every combo I can think of that doesn't include the save yourself/let Roadkill die option so I am also stuck.

At this point I'm wondering if it's a platform bug which is why it won't trigger (I play on Mac) or maybe it's like in some other VNs where you have to play the other routes to unlock more choices so we can get Noel's Romance ending. IDK

If there is anyone out there who successfully got Noel's Romance Ending - please help us!!! LOL

Hey, I just bought the game for my Mac but it looks like I'm not able to download any files other than the Demo? (Also I'm using the Canadian store, and have enabled "alternate download mode" but this hasn't done anything.) Help?? I've really been looking forward to playing.

(1 edit)

Hey, I still can't get access to the Premium content either, even though I have that version. I can't choose who joins me up at the rooftop to go and see Nish, and therefore who we write our letter, or any of the other Premium content or CGs except the last one. And I still get Six as the default for the Nish visit and  with the prompt to buy the premium version at the end. (So same issue as Shinrai.) Also, I'm using the app on Mac.

Oh thank god, I bought the game yesterday (Oct 31st, 2020) and I'm having the same problem too. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
