Thanks for playing our game and for your kind words!

Ah the check point system makes sense! I most have just died close to a CP and didn't realize.

Cool game with a lot of different mechanics. I like the art style and the game feel cohesive. As a critique, the grid movement feels off. Its almost like I move more then one grid space at a time and this kind of at first messed with where I thought I was going to finish my movement. Fun game though I really enjoyed saving some ghosty friends!

Fun game with fun graphics and a really cool take on combat. Not sure if its intentional or not, but I died and it just healed me and I kept playing from where I died. Movement feels good and it has a nice cohesive aesthetic

Thanks for playing our game! I agree with the speed in the end. While we play tested it we had a bit of back and forward with how fast you should be able to move while still feeling like you are moving from grid to grid. In the end we settled with what we submitted but you can hold down the forward and backwards key to move continuously (while still taking a small pause between movements).

I think we learned a lot being involved with this jam and what we could do more to bring it inline with the genre while still offer our take on the game.

Thanks for the comment and taking the time to play our game. We wanted it to feel a little bit more trial and error, it was a deliberate decision not to include health and how close you are to being able to capture a critter. We did end up adding in that combat toast mechanic on the side to help the player understand what was going on with the combat, but maybe we should have added more aid.

Thanks! I agree I think the movement could be speed up a bit, I wanted it to feel like you were still moving on a grid but maybe that impacted playability to hard (lessons learned!). The capture mechanic uses a type system with points. You have to hit an enemy with their weak element X times before you can capture them.
Thanks again for your feed back and taking the time to play our game.

(1 edit)

Thanks for your feedback, I actually felt this pace was okay for this type of game. But after playing a few others I agree we could have made the movement faster. Thanks for your feedback!

Cool puzzle game with a nice use of a few mechanics to give it a different twist. The movement feels really nice, took me a while to figure out you can jump up (probably explained some where). Over all nicely done! was a joy to play.

Fun game, with cool graphics and I really like the concept. I however got stuck in an argument loop one my 2nd level and it just kept making me "fight" the clerk over and over and over again.

Fun Game, I think the text speed is fine but maybe I am a slower reader. I do agree with other comments I think there is a lot of reading involved just to play the game.

Thanks for your feedback!!.

I'm wondering if the game is to dark on specific monitors (without a contrast gauge to change this I could see this being a big problem)

I noticed early on pressure plates where hard to see and I did end up adding a light to the pressure plates for this reason.

I completely agree with the hit box issue. I actually only had about maybe 10 hours to make everything and put it together due to time constraints on my end and because that collision didnt finish in a state I was happy with. I think if/when I go to clean this up I will make the boxes bind to a specific point on the character so it always aligns with the sprite perfectly. I think I will also change how I validate pressure plates so they behave more like I wanted.

Thanks again for the feed back and for playing my game :3

This game is metal!! I really like the art style and mechanics. Good stuff.

Nice fun game!, I noticed you wrote you are beginners hope to see more from the team members in the future :)

Really cool game and idea. One thing I I might add would be since the tutorial is so important it would be nice for the game to start in the tutorial and then have the option to skip it.

Fun quick game, I like how you executed the limitation.

Yeah we found that bug after the jam was done. I think it might have been created in the 11th hour when try to fix something else haha. Thanks for playing our game though hope you enjoyed it :3

Hello, I added a build so you can play it on the web. Sorry first time doing a game jam and also uploading to this site xD

Cute art and fun idea!

Fun animations and cool attack patterns for the boss!!
