Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!  The late game is quite challenging ;)

Thanks for playing!  It certainly gets tricky as time goes on ;)

That's some really lovely pixel art and the palette really pops with good use of particles.  Fun to play and on theme.  Well done!

If your eyes are melting that means you've played really well LOL. Thanks for commenting.

I enjoyed playing this.  Looks and sounds good too.  Keys worked well for me (QWERTY) since you patched it.  Managed to survive a bit longer when things got out of hand by using obstacles to block enemy fire - but they got me in the end ;)

That's an impressive score :)  Must have been hectic at the end.  Thanks for playing!

Many thanks for playing and posting your insights.

The progression is largely linear with the exception of the enemy gen rate which is exponential, partly to ensure finite playing time and partly to allow new players to find their way.  I sacrificed difficulty options to meet the jam deadline :(

There is however some randomness in the allocation of each upgrade type which is intended to offer a little replay variety since distribution affects strategy somewhat. The upgrade gen rate is constant but in the late game you have to juggle harder to continue gathering new upgrades whilst doing battle :)  My guess is the spikes/lulls you see come from certain upgrade type biases affecting the balance.

It's true that if you last long enough it's complete mayhem ;)  Thanks again for taking the time to give this feedback.

This game has excellent playability.  Plenty of experimentation possible and looks good. On theme.

I think the base manoeuvrability of the craft could be increased to deal with fast approaching enemies; I found the best option in most cases was to move flat out, kiting enemies behind and firing backwards.

Worth developing further.  Great job.

This plays well.  Tried camping in the corners and kiting round the edges but the enemy generation is too smart for that ;)  Good job!

Good concept nicely implemented.  Normally I take a break from coding to play a game, not the other way around ;)  Nice retro arcade feel too.  Well done!

Great to hear.  Thanks for playing and commenting!

Thanks for playing and I really appreciate your kind comment.  There is some code in place for a difficulty/speed menu option but it was one of the sacrifices made to meet the jam deadline ;)

Thanks for playing and posting this, much appreciated!

Thanks for playing and posting!

Addictive and super satisfying.  Looks great.  Well done!  Eventually scored 35900, made it onto the LB for now at least ;)

Nice entry, guys.  Lots of ways to play and satisfying to watch it unfold.  Right on theme with mellow sounds and sweet artwork.

Looks absolutely great, super smooth.  I enjoyed playing this.  "He's a little aggressive" understatement LOL ;)

Lovely pixel artwork and retro feel.  Well done!

Love that flamethrower :)  Steady progression with weapon upgrades and new enemies, solid audio and pixel art.  Fun to play, well done!

Great to see this original and effective movement mechanic in the jam. Combined with the ethereal audio and super art style (inc. skull asteroids :) this was a lot of fun to play. I did pretty well:

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Thanks for playing and taking the time to post.  I like the rating ;)

These are kind words and much appreciated!  Thanks for playing and leaving this feedback.

Right on theme!  I really enjoyed the game loop; watching the simulation unfold after each decision.  I seemed to be doing quite well but then I realised there were too many old dinosaurs and they suddenly died out... I felt bad but that's evolution I suppose ;)  I will try another approach.  Very playable with appealing art style.  Well done!

Fun and addictive gameplay.  Well done.

Very engaging game . The music and aesthetic are very zen as is the gameplay until you are stuck looking for a last combo at which point panic sets in!  I won't be gettting any high scores on my post-jam sleep :)

Thanks for commenting.  Possibly a browser compatibility issue.  Can you say more or try another browser?  Chrome runs HTML5 games well.

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks for playing and commenting!  The chaos is inevitable if you survive long enough ;)

Many thanks for playing and posting your cool gameplay video :D

Thank you for your kind after-jam words, much appreciated.

Had a lot of fun playing this. Earthquake menu sets the tone from the start!

Great use of the theme for a unique platformer!

Sweet animations :D  As others have said, the orbiting motion works really well.

Thanks for playing and commenting :)  I'll look into controller support after the jam.

I have enabled the browser version of the game which I submitted during the jam but initially disabled as performance varies on different browsers. For best performance, please download one of the desktop versions.

Great concept. This could also be a manic four player game with one key each :D

I enjoyed the retro feel/high contrast and the unexpected tempo switch-up. Felt bad for the fish I failed - until I won.

Very satisfying, balanced challenge which I did eventually beat after falling repeatedly at the final wave. Really good theme, audio and visuals.

The game conveniently quits on completion but please extend the moment of glory ;)

Ravi de voir une entrée multilingue malgré les contraintes de temps de la Gamejam.
