Very nice game but first part is hard because of the colors. I'm colorblind, so purple and blue on moving fish is hard to tell apart for me, even with a dark background =(
I still enjoyed the game ! Good work !

Yeah, here I was just greeting fish (shout out to Betsy, hey gurl) and then…!
I dug the visuals, and the music sounds procedurally generated which is cool?! I wasn’t clear on how I charged my arc cannon; it’s moving around, right? I wished I could choose when to fire it – sometimes it seemed like it should’ve fired but it didn’t.
Yeah. That’s probably why I lost. Not cuz I was overwhelemed with missiles from evil missile shooters and couldn’t handle my sub.
So you fire the cannon by coming to a stop, and move to charge. That means if you’re using the mouse, you don’t want to have your reticle way far in advance.
Probably the first feature I’d change would be to make it so that as soon as you release your mouse/tap, it stops moving you, kinda like I did with WASD.
I enjoyed the retro feel/high contrast and the unexpected tempo switch-up. Felt bad for the fish I failed - until I won.
had no idea what this was supposed to be but that's kind of my thing so good job
Neat shift in gameplay! I liked getting to know all the little fish buddies.
I really like this visual style! (Also nice to see Fennel games.) I was a little confused as to what I was supposed to be doing when I was just greeting fish, but maybe the mystery is better for the mood? I found the difficulty was a bit too high at the very beginning when I was just learning the controls, but overall, a really tight game, especially for a jam!
Cool artwork. At first the game felt very simple but as I kept playing I enjoyed the new mechanics.
I liked the touch of the gameplay switching half way through, kind of an Ecco the Dolphin vibe.
I was a little surprised when I won I thought it would have a couple more stages or have the second part be endless. I was a little confused at the beginning part because it said blue fish and they were multicoloured but I quickly found out I was looking for blue bodied fish.It might be a little short but I did like the second parts mechanics of having to move around to charge.
Good idea having you build some rapport with the guys you will be protecting. In the defense phase I personally had the most success with WASD keys. There’s a bit of input lag but hey, you’re underwater. Nicely done.
Nice graphics, especially the glow. Smooth mouse control. I like the twist in gameplay didn’t expect that.
