The gameplay is smooth and fun! The audio is a bit harsh, particularly the constant shooting sound. Overall it feels like this is more of modern aesthetics with retro gameplay rather than the other way around. Very solid entry regardless.

I really like this game! The movement is fun, the sounds are cute, and the gameplay is difficult enough that it provides a good challenge. Some of the areas I think are a bit harsh, and I got some flappy bird ptsd when I collected enough feathers to start really chaining the flaps. The only negative point I think I'd have is that it was difficult for me to see some of the toxic gas, as although they are a different colour, their shape blends in to the background quite easily. But hats off to you for making such a well rounded (and extensive) game!
I think for the text, the usual way around it is to allow the player to skip to the end instead of needing to wait for it to type out. This is especially true for games with text that repeats. It gets to a point where the player already knows what to do, and doesnt need the text to guide them necessarily. Good luck with the death bug!
The art is great, and I like the 3d visual style. I was however a bit confused about what the items next to the map are supposed to be. I think an intro to explain the objective of the game would have been useful, but I understand under jam conditions theres often not enough time, still I think at least a block of text would be helpful.
Wow! Very good game! Really enjoyed it, but only played up to beating bert, might come back to try endless mode later. One thing i did notice is that the bomb towers seem to miss some enemies when playing at 2x speed. Would also have loved if there was some background music, but the game audio is good with the storm sounds.
Took a couple of tries to get it running on windows, but once it worked, very smooth gameplay! I think the time to get the asteroid up to speed on a new run is too long. Also a bit more user feedback like a damage indicator whenever you get hit would help make it feel more polished. But otherwise, a great concept that can be expanded into a multi-level game. Good job!
