I see that the bouncing mechanich was intentional, but I dont really get what was it purpose and it, I thinnk it does more damage to the game than anything. Other than that, grat artstyle, I got all the warriors! I'll check the post-mortem later

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is set a day before a battle, you are a spirit who needs to awaken soldiers so that they can meet their fate on the battlefield. I mainly focused on the Calm part, since the storm is never shown, only assumed.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
YES

The jumping mechanic was good and I would understand that that's the game mechanic/design but it's really annoying trying to move even through a basic jumping area when you would accidentally touch a wall and go flying in the opposite direction. I guess that's what makes it unique. I would also say that having to sit at the bottom while the bar charges back up was a little annoying. Maybe it's just a skill issue though. Music was nice, although the jumping sound effect got a little irritating after a bit.
I thought the look and feel of the game otherwise to be really nice. A little tuning and I think it could be a really fun game.
I liked the unique mechanic with the jumping a lot and the design of the areas. It really checks if all the fires are lit or not at the end there! Nice job! The visual style and the music are really awesome in this game!
I liked the character animations and the art style was nice however Ii was very frustrating getting bounced off walls. Overall the game was very neat.
very cool mechanics and atmosphere, but the knockback when you hit a wall is way to high, making it feel more like a rage bait than a precision plataformer. I think that a minor knockback and just cancelling your flight would feel better, or just embrace it and make the level design with this in mind, without narrow gaps just becase.
overall i liked a lot, and see a lot of potential in the concept.
Fun game weird interaction when jumping on or near walls like it was pushing downs and away other than that great game!!!
Loved the atmosphere on this one! The platforming is frustrating though, mainly because of the ridiculous amount of pushback you get from the walls. It also took me a couple of minutes to notice the white bar at top and understand its purpose, it would be nice if it was at least mentioned in the beginning. Aside from these couple of points, the platforming is good!
Good Entry. Check out The End Is Nigh by Edmund McMillen on Steam. It shares a similar feel, tone and atmosphere.
It's quite a rage-inducing platformer just like others had said. I really liked the artstyle in this game, but those roofs had me confused a little bit, and maybe it's just a me issue, cuz I felt like the difference between the walkable roofs and the background roofs wasn't quite clear. But other than that it's a pretty cool game overall!
I liked this little platformer game - an atmospheric journey to awaken warrior spirits. Art and music is just amazing, and the gameplay is pretty polished
Suggestion:
- Fix the result time to be in minutes and seconds e.g. (It took you 5 minutes and 34 seconds)
Cool platforming game with cool animation, loved the visuals also the music is good, pretty good entry. Rated
also do checkout my game as well
367 seconds. Super fun platforming challenge, although I think the wall being so bouncy is more annoying than a fun challenge. That's the only thing I'd probably change. Other than that though. Beautiful, sounds good, interesting mechanic, and cool atmosphere. Fantastic entry. Great job!
This is a cool rage game about fighting with the force of the wall. Maybe this is a metaphor for how tough life is and the author intends to teach us that even though life is tough, we must still move forward and achieve greatness.
Brilliant game, brilliant message.
I liked this game a lot and it's one of my favorites of the whole jam. I am just a bit too frustrated by the wall bounce. I kinda like it in some instances, and without it the game wouldn't really have any challenge, but it just makes the game feel a bit off. I think maybe the wall bounce shouldn't be as extreme for flat surfaces.
But the art and controls and sound are great. I think only other criticism is the stamina could refill quicker when you land. And I guess like I said with the challenge, you really aren't tested on your movement ability until the end and the wall bounce makes it feel more like Getting Over It than you having this cool flying ability overcoming tough obstacles. I think it could use some better designed platforming or other types of obstacles (wind?)
Really great job on the music and implementing the layers for each fire lit. Overall really great for a solo dev.
Nice art, I like style. I think main character should be a bit more distinct from the level. Very hard game but good. Well done
I like the artstyle a lot and the gameplay was fun and a bit rage inducing. I enjoyed it!
Really cool graphics. Very frustrating gameplay. Enjoyed it a lot.
Definite the current best submission I've even seen. The simple design of mechanics with the perfect difficulties of level design. And the artstyle and texts are also very artistic and unique. I love this just love this holy shit.
The game is very cool, but it's so frustrating to be pushed back and have to basically start over when trying to climb.
I thing for a more balanced experience there should be tiles that push you back, and some tiles that don't.
Great art and sound design!
very interesting concept, awesome music and atmosphere. The art is very coherent, had a lot of fun playing it
