This is really fun! Well done :)

Hi and thank you for the praise. These fancy effects are quite a lot easier than I think most people know :)

This is a fun fast game. Well done!

Thank you for the kind words!

This is a sweet chill platform puzzler. Quite a few games in this jam has a dual-world puzzle theme, but this is the best I’ve seen. Very well done!

Really nice puzzle game! Well done.

Thank you for the praise! Yes I like old arcade games. :)

Thank you!

Thank you! Yes the projectiles get a bit confused by the side scrolling movement. Glad you liked :)

What a fun game. The sounds and the colors made me feel good even as I missed all the time :) A bit hard to distinguish enemies I think, but that is easily fixed. Great job!

The bullets are physical (Rigidbody2d) and follows a straight line in the game world independent of the helicopter. The problem is partially the trail render and that in a side-scroller like this you stand still and everything else moves towards you.

Thank you! As it were, I have already played your game, and I’ll probably do it again in the future. Though I think I need to get a good controller first. Very nice!

Wow thanks for the praise. You are very kind. The font is one of Kenney’s and the colors were actually inspired from a Gamedev.tv 2D tutorial. Always happy to meet a fellow Douglas Adams fan :)

Hi and thanks for the kind words :) Yes there is some funky bullet movement going on that I’ll have to address going forward.

I avoided the aliens killing me and delivered the odd tree to Earth as well. Nice game, solid controls & implementation. It could certainly be extended with a little bit more variation after a while, but this is a good start!

Very nice little platformer. The controls are really responsive and feels just right, and that is surprisingly hard to do.

I hope you have fully recovered and stay healthy! Good job publishing your game.

A cool idea with the dual ship - and fun execution. Well done!

This is impressive, especially for the short timespan of this jam. Fun game with pretty graphics! Pretty complex so it could do with more instructions and a tutorial if you move on with this project, which I hope you do! Well done.

Thank you and thanks for the encouragement! Yes, it could do with more content and bug fixes, but, you know, gamejam. The issue with movement is that you are (more or less) standing still and the world is moving towards you at different speeds. So even if your projectiles move in straight lines they look “wrong” compared to environment.

Thank you for the kind words :) I was really going back and forth on the gatling sound, bringing in several different sound files and not being happy with them. I ended up with “MP5_Burst - Shot - Short - Urban_Exterior” from SoundMorph via Sonniss’ free GDC pack. Yes, it’s really a submachine gun sound. Since it’s the sound you will hear all game it is important that it is not too sharp, unobtrusive yet packs a satisfying punch. I think it helps that I randomly vary its pitch also.

Thank you! It’s surprisingly easy to add a good minimap/radar in Unity. Glad you liked.

Thank you. I am really glad you liked it :)

What a fun and frustrating little puzzler. Very clever and creative - lots of good ideas in this one. I hope you keep working at this game - it’s a bit hard to understand what’s going on at first, but nothing a little tutorial and some tweaking can’t fix.

I jumped so high I ended up in a totally different game :-D fun idea - really difficult to control with the two sliders but a great idea. And the sound was a massive 8-but flashback! well done.

thank you for the praise my friend :) yes it is a very nostalgic game. I was well served by the free GDC sound samples from Sonniss!

Thanks a lot for the praise! glad you liked it. well done!

Thank you so much my friend! Really appreciate it.

Thank you for great feedback! Yes Unity’s “new” inputsystem gives some controller support out of the box. Alas, I don’t have a controller yet so I can’t do it properly.

Yeah I miss out on quite a bit of games wo a controller. Thanks for the recommendation. I am not in the US, but they do ship to Norway :)

Beautiful art, and a neat idea with these energies if perhaps a bit complicated for a game of this scope! Tricky puzzles, and this game is one reason why I really need to get a controller :) Very well done!

Hey thanks for the kind words :) Glad you liked it. Missiles are guided towards the enemy that is the closest to the mouse cursor when you fire. It can even hit enemies behind you. The gatling gun fires in a straight line towards mouse cursor position. But maybe missiles should do more damage to really make them different!

That’s kind of you to say. Very glad you liked :)

yeah tell me about it :-D

A really cool take on platformer. I like the graphics style. It was difficult, though, or maybe I still suck at platforming :)

Thank you! I am glad you liked playing it. The explosions are made from Kenney’s excellent sprites.

I am really glad to hear that :) Thank you for the praise!

That’s pretty impressive: a whole point & click 3d adventure in ten days. This reminded me of the old Sierra games. Very nice - pretty visuals. PS: I did get permanently stuck once near next to the prison sign, and no jumping and wiggling helped.

Really clever puzzle with neat visuals. I am not good at puzzle games - appreciate the built-in hints for dummies like me :)
