Yeah, its supposed to be perpendicular to the wall you're landing on, but I couldn't solve that bug during the jam!

It's sort of a wonky 60 degrees off (or something)

Hell yeah!

I'll just mirror what others have said in the other comments regarding the movement and collisions. Good work for such a short jam :)

This game was great! Really polished, good little story and a really interesting mechanic. The ghost felt so good too, really felt as if you were a ghost trying to carry an object too heavy for an ethereal being! Excellent work!

You need to press z while holding down to drop it :)

A fast paced little game! I struggled to get any kills at all haha. 5 was my high score :(

Great art and execution - the mechanic and movement felt really good, I wish I was better at it !😂

Fantastic game! The leaderboard felt sort of hidden (Didn't realise it was even there until someone showed me). Needless to say I had to come back to defend my high score!

Really novel controls, had a lot of fun. My only suggestions would be some music (a sea shanty type thing or something!) and something to do instead of just waiting around for sharks to appear.

Really solid entry, had a blast

Really good stream. Your critiques were very insightful and you really have the balance down between being constructive without being inconsiderate/condescending at all.

A great entry to be proud of! Simple and intuitive controls, good sounds and music and clean, minimalistic art style tied together well for a very good entry! Good work, Hugo, loved it!

Loved the fast-paced feel to the game. The music made it all the more hectic. The movement definitely felt weird and hard to use, as people have already mentioned. I was also getting stuck on corners which was a bit frustrating.

Loved the bit where you jump in the car and go for a spin though 😂🚗 And the title screen was  fire! Fun little game :)

This game was a lot of fun! The initial tutorial interface left a little to be desired, but it didn't take long to pick up what I was supposed to do. The gameplay was fantastic! The ramp up in difficulty was perfect and the variety of cues you had to listen/look for were diverse and really kept you on your toes.

The best I could get was 57,654 - the maths was definitely my weak point. 🤦‍♂️
Really great entry!

Loved the minimalistic visual style and the "die to make a checkpoint" mechanics was quite innovative. Movement felt really clean, too. Great entry, Alexey!

I struggled to beat this but perservered and emerged victorious, so I guess I'm a real G4M3R ;) !

Cute art and having the number of batteries to collect was good to know how far off I was from reaching my goal with each reboot. With the number of times i had to repeat, I would've loved for spacebar to reboot (having to move my hand to the mouse to click the button was a tad tedious when I just wanted to jump back into it).

Fantastic game for a first game jam entry!

😂😂 Thanks, CrunchCaptain!

*explodes*

Thanks for playing it! I definitely want to explore more of the Wizard's Castle. So many rooms of wierd and magical artifacts to discover!

Thanks, Amp!  Glad you enjoyed playing it :D

Great feedback, Taberu. I completely agree about the main mechanics. I spent wayy too much time trying to get the narrative mechanics in and ended up running out of time for the more "gameplay" aspects. I had a bunch of enemies and weapons on my list that I just simply ran out of time to implement. Even as I was building it I kept coming up with ideas for whacky magical artifacts that would make the gameplay more interesting.

Thanks again for your thoughts on the game :)

If I'm awake I'll definitely tune in!

Thanks for playing :)

You flatter me! Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Thanks for playing, CarryBoo!

Thanks for playing :D Another few hours would've helped haha

Thanks, steelax! Yeah, my sound designer did a fantastic job with the music!

I had a magic sword and enemies on the list but sometimes you just  overscope and run out of time in these jams 😅

Glad you enjoyed it :D Hopefully it wasn't too long - I try to be wary of making jam games too long that people lose interest.

Thanks for the kind words! I knew someone would get stuck in the wall haha. I'm glad the creepiness of the otherworld came through

Thanks for playing, Alexey 😁

Thanks, Apex! Did you manage to work out the secret of the paintings behind those doors or just made it with trial and error?

A cute little story (and the suited shrimps were *chefs kiss*). Great job and good work tying in all the themes!

Haha I had a similar learning experience! The whole time I was trying to come up with "puzzley" levels, I just kept feeling so dumb. I felt like a good combination/layout was just outside my grasp :P

I definitely agree with the 2-colour creativity. It really makes you think about the basics and forces you to make sure the foundations of your art are really solid concepts.

So true. A playable game is far better than a beautiful game you can't play!

Thanks, Nexade. That's really nice of you to say :)

Nice game. Nailed the 1-bit feel :D

This game feels great. The controls are really intuitive and dash feels amazing. Great sound and aesthetic too. Nailed it.

Good game! I struggled at first with the initial onslaught and trying to work out the inventory mechanic, but got the hang of it after a bit of playing and managed to get all the baddies!

Loved the interactivity of this entry! The logic puzzle crossed with the fun of putting stuff in the cauldron was a great combo.

Thanks for jamming everyone, I had heaps of fun with this one!

So what did everyone learn from this jam? My number 1 take-away was definitely to decrease the scope of my project. It's so easy to be ambitious 😁

Thanks, uddermode. Glad you enjoyed it 😄

Thanks for playing! Yeah I definitely would've loved to have implemented the other Zodiacs but time was, of couse, of the essence 😅

Thanks - I'm glad the puzzle challenge aspect came through!
