That's the most amount of feedback we've had so far, appreciate the level of detail you went into and agreed with pretty much everything! We're implementing most of these changes as a small update to the game to show friends, especially making the abilities feel better!

Really appreciate the feedback, thanks!

Yeah if we had more time we would've spent some of it definitely cleaning up bounding boxes and tuning difficulty spikes, but it's awesome to hear you gave it multiple tries! It's meant to be a hard game that you eventually beat by learning how best to deal with enemies without getting hit, rather than having any checkpoints. But maybe makes sense for a short playtime.

Thanks so much! Most of the art wasn't ours but we loved pushing asset packs to see how far they can take us :)

That's fair! I had a feeling it might not work well but felt it was a great art piece and wanted to include it somehow. Maybe I'll chuck it in the spike pit :P

Great that you picked up on the Vampire Survivors influence though, that was one of our main inspirations!

Thank you it means a lot! Loved your game as well, especially the storytelling :D

Thank you for the feedback! Tried your game too and it was good too :)

What do you mean about the camera? We were using cinemachine. Do you mean being able to rotate around the player but still top-down, or more like a 3rd person like Dark Souls?

Appreciate the feedback! Sad to hear about the gem-related mishaps :P

Tried your game as well and I gotta say it's very atmospheric!

Thanks for the feedback, loved your game as well considering you did a lot of it yourself!

I think we will do another pass with some balance changes, definitely the Ranged 3 attack needs some love, as well as the heavy attacks ;)

Awesome game! I couldn't quite work out what I was doing wrong as it didn't seem possible to not lose to suspicion going too high each round, but otherwise loved the mechanics!

Only real things I would change is make the font size bigger on cards and the overview map.

Hey, I think there was an issue with the sound not playing? Wasn't working for me in the browser, so it was hard to get the rhythm part of the game.

It also crashed when I tried to go into the options to check for sound settings.

Hopefully some quick fixes :)

Good work! Wasn't expecting the encumbered mechanic at first, but made it a fun to manage another element in the simple gameplay.

Also like the sprites & art on the game page.

I died.

That was fun! Sliding up and unloading the gun was really fun cool. Blood & gun smoke particles were a really nice touch too. Also, only game I've seen with voice acting so far!

Could nice to haves / feedback - Would prefer to swap weapons over dropping them. Gun face isn't ideal, perhaps move the gun to a more natural side position, then bring it up for aiming down sight?  Pacing could have been a bit tighter, walking from wagon to main spawn area or trying to find the last bandit slowed it down a bit.

Overall, great game!

Nice work! Had to turn the light on in my house, play in windowed with the volume all the way down just to get through it!

A VR port of this would be awesome, right level of interactions nice visuals to look at. Would be terrifying.

I noticed your lights popping a little. I noticed that same thing in our unity webGL build, so you may be able to fix it pretty easy. Go Project Settings > Quality and in the top table thing, select 'High Fidelity' for the WebGL column.

VERY nice visuals. I spent ages just jumping about and looking at the game! Some moody ambience & background music would really add to the vibe.

Great start and keen to see where you take it.

Also had to lookup tenebrous, so thanks for making me smarter haha

Great work on the art, looks really nice. Just from the cover & screenshots I was keen. I had a bug where the sound didn't play, but after restarting it was all good and added a lot to the game!

I enjoyed the gameplay, it's kind of similar to our 3d submission.

I was a little confused by the unlocks and didn't realise I'd unlocked abilities or that they had a limited use. Maybe just adding a bit more of a visual indicator when you unlock something to help highlight it to the player more intuitively?

Nice work! Fun memory game.

Well done of the level of polish too, music and effects were good, I especially loved all the review comments! Reminded me of rollercoaster tycoon visitors haha.

Cool vibe with the music! I found it pretty quick to get a hang of the controls & the mini map was a great touch too.

I fell off and was bumping into stuff a bit, but sounds like you're ontop of it.

Top marks for use of gathering!

Cool concept, and great execution. Took me straight back to original pokemon on the gameboy, I event had the sounds playing in my head.

Thanks so much for playing :) Appreciate the kind feedback.

That HP issue has been fixed now too.

Hey, thanks for having a play!

Turns out I left the player HP up super high when last second testing, and submitted the game with that in the build..

Checked the discord, and it looks like fixes like this are ok past the submission date, so I've patched that if you wanted a challenge :)

Damn that was awesome!! Very well done, particularly the story, difficulty pacing (fun to learn and punish enemy attack patterns) and great music too! Only issue was the enemy ai got stuck sometimes - bats would go left and right super fast whilst moving up/down walls, and wolfs sometimes got stuck in the roof if they did their jump attack too close to them. Also would love to see roll + jump carry more momentum to make movement even more fun. But other than that great job!

Thanks for playing!

Bummer you had an issue. We were still building until the last minute and definitely could have used more time to test and polish 🙂
