Wow, really cool puzzle design!! The first puzzle with a blue light did feel awkwardly precise, but other than that I found that the puzzles were nicely designed.
Got a little past the introduction of the purple light, had a good time with some of the puzzle designs. There's a lot of cool potential here.

Fun game, I liked the enemy design and the experience collection sound was very satisfying. Not sure I completely understood the crafting system, but eventually I had two flames orbiting me that were just destroying everything!
It seemed like the more stuff I destroyed, the more stuff would spawn, and newly spawned mobs are the deadliest threat in the game haha, so in some sense it felt like, the more powerful I got, the harder the game got.
Wow, there's a lot of good about this game!
The music and VFX stand out to me as really good, making the game feel much more polished.
The title art too is very eye-catching and well designed.
The enemy designs and pixel art are all very cute.
The world design is also very cool (nice touch with the parallax). I think it could use some lighting to create a greater feeling of discovery/intrigue that would work well with the music track in the beginning. It'd also be cool to see some secrets and hidden things but I know I know I'm asking too much for a game jam hahaha.
Also maybe just me, but it wasn't obvious to me that I would be able to freeze the tops of the waterfalls (which I assumed to be background assets).
The controls are alright, certainly of good quality for a game jam, but could use a few touchups:
-It feels a little difficult to control where the potions are aimed, especially when your target is something like a small bat flying around.
-Personally, the movement could do with being a little snappier, it currently feels a little bit too slippery for my taste.
-The ordering of the buttons feels a bit weird, and the change potions button wasn't taught in game I think? Using zxc plus arrow keys as my controls, c would feel natural for jump... I guess I'm being quite picky with this point lol.
Hey! I beat the game, or at least I think I did, the game crashed when I jumped down the hole at 7/8!
The high jumps and dynamic movement are quite enjoyable! And the SFX/feeling of hitting enemies also felt pretty good, though the slow-down effect was perhaps too much hahaha. The enemies in particular had pretty cool designs and the combat gameplay against them felt well-tuned.
I was a little confused about what to do at the start/how to use the shop, but picked it up eventually, enjoyable gameplay. Getting random upgrades from the shop was a little strange, frequently getting damage downs from it was also confusing. Does this mean I take less damage, or do I deal less damage?
The style and art of the game is amazingly impressive, like wow!! Everything from the art design to the lighting and ambience, and the thematic music and sound effects are great, but the gameplay is a little confusing! A more interactive tutorial could go a looong way into turning this into an awesome game.
Cool mechanics, they're the highlight of the game. Levelling up feels great, and the upgrades from level to level add a lot of depth to the game in a satisfying way.
The minions are a cute mechanic, but the flag feels quite hard to use, often it'd just end up sending them to their miserable deaths in a sea of monsters, good time overall!
The art is also pretty great, I especially enjoy the intro at the start, but the enemies have some cute designs too.
Seems very cool.
The book animation when I got to one of the bookcases was very clean, it was nice to have some visual stimulus while I was waiting: any form of interactivity or stimulus in these lockpicking sections is good to see.
The level design is also pretty cool, the rooms are nice and varied and the game seems to have a pretty nice difficulty curve.
It needs some polish here and there but cool stuff!
