Pixel shot-
Wow, this is very well produced and mixed. Great control on dynamics, transitions, and tight composition. This piece is like a short quick flex
At first i thought 8 bit club pixel art from hotline miami and then it turned up the heat and became pixel fighting game like street fighter and one of the characters just got a cheat power up.
Father to son
what comes to mind when listening are emotions of nostalgia, adversity, dark times, tragedy, thinking through adversity, and etc. Especially when the high pitch melody stops and the bass becomes more prominant.
reminds me of "the dark knight" movie.
Oh? are those hand drums, tabla? and nice use of reverb and what sounds like reversed delays? from the reverb?
This fits the scenery of the volcano, almost like "the lion the witch and the wardrobe" or a harry potter vibe where the audience is about to discover a whole new world of darkness behind the veil of a smoking volcano. Very nice work, i enjoyed listening and trying to break down what i was hearing since it was neatly mixed.
Great stuff and hope to see you in more jams

Nice drones and textures. Curious what you used to create these sounds. Very contemplative. i could listen to this for hours in a hot yoga session. Wish it was longer, with a longer reverb tail on the bells and more space between the bells to really add to that textural pallete.
Overall, amazing work, i gave full marks, fits the imagery in my opinion.
ambience indicates a cold space to me. especially with that white noise that sounds like moving air in the ambience of the overall mix. i can absolutely see this in a documentary with archeologist hiking up a dormant volcano located at high altitudes where the environment is windy, cold, but still majestic over drone broll. good job
hELLO,
Objective:
i want to create full in-depth stories to be read along with my music, ambient music, and sound design work. Full length meaning either the story/narrative has an ending or has an open-ended ending like in the examples below. I view this as a collaboration so we will share the credit. I will not micro-manage or tell you what to write or how to write but may sometimes provide a prompt or starting point to help conceptualize the music/audio/ambience into a story or poem.
Reference material:
Goal: submit our collaboration to OST game jams with "read while listening" in the short description.
I tried to write a little story myself but this is not my strength so i wrote a short passage. Nevertheless, this is a good example of how the product will look: https://clyphdrops.itch.io/friendly-game-jam-submission
about me
My name is: Clyph
My music channel:

my process is improvisation so the type of music created will change
Looking to collaborate with a writer, story teller, poets, and other forms of written word even in different languages or fonts.
Thank you for your time
Have you ever Bought anything on Itchio for more then 3 dollars? If yes, what was it? if you dont mind sharing. Feel free to drop a link to the content/asset you purchased as well.
If the answer is no, feel free to mention what you primarily use the itch website for.
I am contemplating selling on itch.io but i am not sure what people consider worth purchasing. The website seems oversaturated with free and cheap content. Therefore this is sort of a form of market research, since i don't see a forum, blog, or newsletter from itchio about top selling assets or content.
Thank you for reading
Not sure if its just me but the volume was a bit low.
Interesting start though. I can really see someone walking through a relative dry forest in sandals. and the Foley sounds seem to transition into music. So its like we are presented with the instruments via Foley before we hear how they combine to make music. and the Foley sounds bring us through different sections. Thank you for sharing this, i definitely felt like the traveler you mentioned in your description while listening to this.
I could see this in a cut scene in a historical video game or in a history documentary.
Nice, ASMR + Sound effects + Foley sounds of the game/scene. Good adherence to a consistent theme with instrumentation but still allowing the songs to venture through other genres. I wish people would pay you to write their audio books, some binaural panning would take this to the next level. Amazing Job. Dropped a fully loaded project on us. Consider this comment a testimonial.
Let me know if you have a youtube channel!
I respect that. i am a super private person as well so when i do videos its only my hands. So if you feel comfortable getting in front of a camera, remember you could always wear gloves and not show your face. Much like ibi : https://www.youtube.com/@ibiBerlin
The world is built, the emotion is palpable, the scene is Dark, Foreboding, and mysterious. and the flow Magnificent. Great job grabbing my attention. I would say make the drop happen sooner, the suspense was killing me as i was grappling with my shrinking attention span. But this criticism is only in response to this as a stand alone piece. i think this is really strong work in compliment with a game, movie, or tv program. I could see this as a main theme for Dexter, True detective, Peaky Blinders, etc. Its simple, elegant, minimalist when it wants it be and complicated for a season finale. You sir...smashed the assignment. Full marks, five stars, 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Amazing work!!! very dramatic, melancholic, and worrying. you should absolutely join this game jam: https://itch.io/jam/reimaginingvgm1
I think its right up your alley and style.
No no no, Not pretentious. Very intentional, as in there are cultural tropes or reference triggers that communicate specific meanings or emotions for scenes. For example in tom and jerry they used descending notes to indicate falling objects (or nouns). This same idea is used in many cartoons and thus becomes a noticeable reference (for subsequent generations) that communicates a specific action or emotion for a scene. But only if said reference was a part of the popular culture which changes from country to country. Its a good thing, your music has a calculated complexity to it that doesn't waste space or try to hide behind the venire of more instruments.
-😂Agreed!! Sounds like the start to great comic book "Modular Hero"
-the hum is from one of the distortion modules, i use for gain and wavefolding. I consider it part of the aesthetic. Awkwardly enough i perceived it within the context of a radio/television (minus the news in the background) and a clock ticking like Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne (90s batman) in office until suddenly...
-Any ideas for making it sound more intentional? or an example of someone who did it in an intentional manner would help as well.
-I think the interesting thing about this jam's theme is that everyone is creating music that subconscious represents the hero in their minds eye. And i must admit to being a big fan of the Fightclub/ batman-esk/ madmax anti-hero architype.
Nice graphic/cover art, beautiful simplicity. Very often composers do too much and it takes away from the piece being able to work with visual information in a complimentary manner. But as a result of This simplicity i can see a wide range of projects this music could work for. This music also leaves itself open to collaboration and change, like if some in the scene happens which requires the music to become fast pace or sad cause the player died so great job. I can see this music being a good fit for a intergalactic hero architype, but maybe thats because of popular culture and modern media brainwashing me to associate synths with space and interstellar travel 🤷♂️.
EPIC!!! IMMEDIATELY thought of the intro to sonic adventure 2 battle. Great work, high energy right at the start, and beautiful variations that convey friction but never unsurmountable obstacles. This definitly fits the theme of a textbook hero and do gooder. No drama, just straight save day in time for dinner vibe. Could also see this being the outro song for "The incredibles".
In conclusion, you smashed the assignment!!!
I love the diverse pallete of sounds you incorporated in this. Don't see much sound design effort in compositions. Respect the willingness to be unique. Do you construct these sounds your self?
Thank you for the adventure, really felt like a nice walk through a man made jungle filled with unfamiliar sounds. Like a safari ride!
