Cute graphic and a good gameplay that remind me most of the old school shoot em up games. The only problem I found is sometime we can confound the background and the obstacle especially for the mountain and the third level.

The gameplay is really addictive and fun. We have a really nes aesthetic with the sound design and the graphic. However it is extremely rare a nes game with a procedural level, this can reduce the feeling of a nes game.

The music and the graphic are great. The gameplay is correct and simple. The level design is ok but the third level is very interesting.

Interesting choice of a slippering platformer. Nice use of the CRT filter. The gameplay is fun and challenging. The graphic is good even some of the platformer tiles are ugly. However the game is too easy with a checkpoint every 10 meters and an infinite live.

Great inspiration to a classical arcade game. The gameplay look like a nostalgic old school game. The level design is good but not perfect.

For those who are not familiar with the 1 BIT art. I present you a link of a game jam who used the 1 BIT. It will help you to the creation of your asset. https://itch.io/jam/1-bit-jam-wow/results

Here my game

It is not easy to work alone for a Game Jam. After I created the base to my game(gameplay, sound design, music ...), I had one day left to complete the level design from the beginning. I saw some bugs but I am too tired to fix it.

Should I limit the number of object display to maximize the Gameboy soul?

Is this technically allowed to use a bullet hell or a roguelike? Or it is not good for the Gameboy soul?

Most of the games from this topic are good.

Here my game : https://itch.io/jam/1-bit-jam-wow/rate/2224535

I can show you my game : https://itch.io/jam/1-bit-jam-wow/rate/222453

Before this GameJam begin. Should I describe the first state of my game in order to know the improvement ?

This is some kind of reverse roguelike boss rush. There are over 8 differents boss in total.

It is really interesting to use the concept of Ikaruga. However it can be difficult to concentrate with 3 color and an exponential difficulty curve. The use of the green and yellow is not good for a colorblind player. The Atari vibe is a good part for the visual and the sound.

This game is really incredible. You created a nice roguelike. The only complaint is about the particle effect. There are too much particle effect which hide the enemy's bullets.

The "theme" category has been replace by "Fun" when we try to rate a game.

thanks

When I try to mention the third-party assets, I use the key enter to add an another line of mention. However it publish directly my game without warning. I want to edit it to add the remaining third-party assets and skeleton code I want to mention.

The rule don't mention if imported asset is allowed or not.

Such a great game. This is a good concept and the ending is interesting. We can clearly see that you are an organized team and experienced.

Good gameplay, good game art. However even you respect the themes very well, I don't see what make this game an April Fool.

Great job. You create such a masterpiece.

What is the rule of the limitation should I apply for the music when I use Famitracker to respect the subject of the Game Boy ?

Do you have any other recommanded music software ?
