It's intentional so that if you accidentally collect the amount which will kill you, you can basically reset your souls

Oh also, sidenote: The main goal of the game is to passively collect the souls and not neccessarily kill them. The option to kill people was added later in development as an optional way to play.

I think this is my favourite game of the jam! There's a fun little glitch to speed up without turning, by just holding left and right at the same time.

Me and my friends would love to try it if you decide to make a huge ARG

Selling souls doesn't end the game. I'm guessing you were serving Death and gave the souls to him, which raised your bad rep, making the red scale tip and making you die. The exit game button runs "get_tree().quit()" which doesn't seem to work in HTML5, and I'm not sure why the buttons don't work after going to the main menu.

To answer your question about the good and bad reputation:
You were gaining bad reputation (red) by killing people or selling souls to Death, and good reputation (green) by selling to Anubis. If your bad reputation outweighs your good reputation by 2x, you die.

Totally not 3D PvZ with guns, very nice job on this game! :)

I think this is just a skill issue on my part, but I couldn't really figure out how to play the game lol. I mean I found out how to plant seeds and pick them up and water them, but didn't figure out how the "combining" works.

The animations are very cool, but I noticed the graphics were a bit blurry. The game itself is pretty fun, just a bit hard and the attack range could be just a bit larger.

The sound effects are cool! I was having issues with potions spawning out of bounds, like under the map

The movement is really nice and I love how I can jump off my scythe. The dashing mechanic is also very fun, but the screen randomly turns pink and the game freezes. I also really love how you can rebind your keys, since I don't really like the default keybindings.

I like the pacman style, but I didn't really get why I randomly kept passing the level.

This game is pretty fun! The upgrade system is cool and makes playing feel more rewarding. The graphics of the game are also nice. The English in the game is pretty wonky but that doesn't really matter. Also after dying once, every time I picked up a soul I died.

I like the day mechanic, the night mechanic is a bit more confusing. Also my character was constantly moving left without me doing any inputs, so I had to hold down D the whole time to stay still. (I played on the web version)

The game is pretty fun and the music is nice, but this would be better if it had a score system or an end goal. Also the art style is really cool!

I was planning on making the cooldown visual. When using Death, the secondary ability cooldown is 4 seconds and the main ability cooldown is 10 seconds. When using Anubis, the secondary ability cooldown is 20 seconds and the main ability cooldown is 10 seconds. Also if you switch sides while on cooldown, you still can't use your abilities until the original cooldown is done.

Yeah I've been using the Control nodes (BoxContainers, MarginContainers, etc.) a lot in my games, makes the ui scale nicely with the viewport

This game was pretty fun, found a bunch of funny glitches with the grappling scythe, for example being able to teleport pretty much anywhere, being able to grab onto air and being able to climb straight walls. Also found one secret room, don't know if there's more than the one I found.

The game works great and the sound design is nice.

I'm not sure if I played the game correctly but it wasn't clear to me how I'm supposed to "cleanse" the tainted soil.

Doesn't really fit the "harvest" theme. Controls are uncomfortable (can't jump while moving, and must charge a jump), the game really isn't that investing and has no audio. Also web version doesn't work.

The concept has some merit and the idea is pretty cool.

This game can pretty easily be exploited by spamming left and right click on your character.

This is a cool concept! I love the style of a papa's game with the twist of having to do stuff behind the counter and outside of the café. Sadly the game crashes randomly.

The game itself is well made and finalized, but the gameplay loop is kind of repetitive. Nice job either way!

Nice and relaxing game! I like how the whole structure of my farm can fall to pieces if a bunch of moles line up on one tile lol

This is a cozy little game. This kind of reminds me of stardew valley in its mechanics and pokemon in its style. Nice job!
