Awesome game!! I really enjoyed playing through all the levels. The art and music were so spot on for capturing that atmosphere. All the puzzles/levels were really fun. I would love to provide some critique to help you but I'm having a hard time pointing out something that really could use some improvement. You really nailed it, congrats!. Keep up the great work!!

Really well done. The feel of the game is great using the Pico8. easy to pick up and play.  Was a little bit difficult but im sure with more play it would be easier. The controls were a little hard to get use to. the look then move part that is. I enjoyed it a lot though, Great work!

I had some issues where the game would not load in Safari or Chrome on my M2 MacBook Pro. Ended up trying it on my Windows desktop in Chrome and it worked fine. Not sure what the deal was.  Unique idea and the theme is definitely present. I think with a little more polish this could be a fun mobile game. Keep it up!

Art and music were spot on! The theme was present as well, with some extra work to help the repetitiveness  and a few QoL changes this could be a really fun game to play. Keep it up!

Bravo on this idea. Super clever, unique and clear use of the jams theme. I enjoyed it but admittedly was very bad at it! I agree that the low-res pixel art makes it hard to tell what pieces are what especially when the game is going at such a fast pace. I think any other critiques I have were already addressed below, such as the fast pace and the view being covered too much by the hands/arms. A difficulty setting would be great but you imaged to accomplish a lot within the 48hr limit. Again kudos. With additional polishing this game could be really special. Keep it up!

Easy to understand game play. Theme is ever present. Great idea! The presentation of the game is super clean. No clutter or extra fluff to make it more than it needs to be. This made a fast and easy playing experience.  It was definitely more difficult than I imaged. I don't mean that in a bad way though at all. With more polish and level this could be a really great game! Keep it up!!

Great idea!! Executed pretty well considering the 48hr time limit. As others have said the biggest gripe is the reset. Having to put everything back and not having an exact reference of where they were makes the difficulty curve a little stronger than it needs to be. The level designs were well thought out. This could absolutely be an amazing mobile kill. Great time waster! Keep it up!!

Simple idea but executed pretty well. Some of the obvious things you already know with UI scaling and its bit short but I think with the 48hr limit you managed to get the idea of the game across and the theme is definitely present in the game. With some more polish this could be a fun mobile game! Keep it up!!

Great job! Simple to understand and start playing. Like others have mentioned the difficulty curve could use some adjusting but great work with the limited 48hr window!. With a little more polish this could be a fun game, great time waster! Keep it up!!

I agree with the other. Just as difficult, actually more difficult since the bird seems to be drunk lol Worked well, I think you did great having this only be your 3rd game and doing it in 48hr none the less.  With more polish this could be turned into a fun mobile game. I'm using fun there pretty liberally lol. My biggest critique would be to work on the UI. I thought I was stuck at the How To Play screen but when I played fullscreen I could see the back button at the bottom. The rest of the UI was over sized when the lose/retry screen came up. Keep it up, i know you got more things to come that are just going to keep getting better!

Really good idea. I couldn't ever make it home so its a challenge! Clicking the objects seemed a little off. Not sure if it was just me or not. It felt like I needed to click in front of them almost. Controls were a little hard to understand but once I played it a couple of times after reading the instructions it made a bit more sense. Nail down some of the core mechanics and add in a little bit of juice to it and you might have yourself a really fun mobile game! Something you can play quicky to try to get a high score. Keep it up!

Love the entire feel of the game. Everything just felt really organic art and sound wise and the controls were perfect for this simple but well done game. Great idea! I wish the levels went by faster, at least initially but I can also understand giving people time to feel out the game play. Level 3 hit me like a brick wall though so maybe I shouldn't complain haha. Excellent work, and with a small amount of polish this could be a terrific mobile game to just waste time with and get high scores. Keep it up!

Art looks great, really nailed it down. Difficulty curve might need some help. I felt like I started off with a larger disadvantage than I should as the dungeon master person. I had to let people advance just to get blood to spend. Outside of the difficulty curve adjustment this is a fabulous game and great idea that was executed well. With additional polish this could be a fun mobile game. Keep it up!

Fun and easy to pick up and play. It was very difficult trying to dodge the attacks when i can only see a small  circle around me. I did manage to make it to the end but felt bad that it didn't feel like a big deal and just started over. With more polish this could be a super fun mobile game.

Really fun to play. spent more time on it than I thought I did. Agree with previous post, the R key is really close to E lol Outside of that great job and keep it up!

I honestly thought this might be a little boring and have played a couple of similar games BUT something about the design of this one, the ease of use, and speed made this one enjoyable to play. I really felt like I let the town down when I killed all my quest takers lol The only thing I can really suggest is maybe the text part of the game. Obviously it works well for the 48hr limit but with extra polish that could be a view of the battles going on or something. It has a lot of potential. Keep it up!!

Game was stupid fun to play. Fun enough where I had to finish the whole thing. Each mechanic was great and love how it woven into a little story almost with Game Dev at the center. I want to provide a critique to help you out but... honestly im not sure what you could do to improve on it as far as a 48hr game jam goes. With additional polish afterwards this could be an addictive game to play, especially on mobile. Congrats and keep it up!

Super fun!! Loved playing it. Wish I could play more of it. Was a little hard at the bringing when I was trying to figure out exactly what. I should do otherwise superb job!

Great idea, was a little lost on how I was suppose to play at first but then figured it out. Art was pretty funny. I like the concept could include some funny/crazy stuff.  With more polish could be an easy time waster! Keep it up!

Great art, really nailed down the concept and feel with it. I loved the late 80s/early 90s feel to it. It was a bit challenging. The text was a little hard to read imo. A speed up option would be great in a more polished version. Could be a great time waster on mobile or in-between other game queues. great job keep it up!

I had more fun with this than I thought I would. the levels were pretty well designed and difficulty curve was mostly fair. The presentation was pretty spot on. With more than 48hrs of dev and polish this could be really special! Only gripe was the guards shooting was a bit annoying. Slightly faster shooting might would help with this. Great job was a pleasure to play! Keep it up!

Interesting idea. Could be more fun with more puzzles and obstacles/enemies. the XP system might be unneeded to keep the feel and fun of the game. Great job, could def be a great time waster on mobile!

Easy to understand and fun to play! I like when the different fish would get added.  Great to see a story along with gameplay.  Difficulty curve might be a little rough. With more polish this could make a great fun game for mobile! Keep it up!

Art looks good. Idea is simple but could be good with more fleshed out ideas/obstacles. Had some issues with the character not wanting to advance sometimes. Keep it up!

Easy to pick up and play. Fun trying to get a high score but a bit repetitive, i'm sure with more time this could be polished into a very fun time waster. Great job!

Simple idea and easy to understand quickly. Didn't have any problems. Was a little more difficult than I thought I would be. Could be polished into an even better game for sure!

That was stupidly fun! Great job. Simple idea and executed well. Maybe could have been more aesthetically  pleasing but im just nit picking at that point.

Great job, as others have mentioned it was a bit hard right off the bat. Also great name lol

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the comment!

I totally agree about the camera issue with the mouse and even the gamepad to a degree. I designed the game to be used with a gamepad and used that for testing during the process. I then added keyboard and mouse and realized how janky it really was but didn't have the time to correct it. Just another thing learned and to use on the next jam! Thanks again for trying it out!!

Stupidly fun game. Great for passing time. Easy to pick up and learn. Only thing I kept wishing for was an easy way to tell what "empty" space I was going to be putting my card/item on to. I would sometimes have it position on a space next to it instead. a visual indication would be a great QoL help.

Thanks! I totally agree. That was part of the mechanics I didn't get to flesh out before realizing I was going to run out of time. Currently there is really only two indications of the suspicion level and both are decently high up there so I'm not sure most players would get to that level and then notice at least one of the changes. If I work on this after the jam I'll flesh this out a lot more. Again, thanks for playing!!!
