Great story telling and matches the theme. Not my sort of game as really more of a story with scenes. Good work however and will no doubt appeal to certain gamers,

Really interesting one this, reckon you could develop this one further as has great potential.

Interesting game, harder than it first looked trying to figure out how to get around. Overall good entry.

Nice art, I'm not into platformers so I won't judge on that but it looked the business to me. Only issue I could find was that I seemed to be killed when out of range (eg. Skeleton) so wondering if hit boxes need tweaking? Overall great entry

Very retro, simple but fun! Map seems to be massive or maybe generated as move around? Cool entry.

Loved the visuals, really great art style. Also nice touches throughout with the art. Matches the theme well. Controls seems unresponsive at times, maybe that's to do with the timing when jumping/falling? Overall great game.

Wow that is different, very original. Fits the theme really well. Great game :-)

Wow this is hard! Think you get 5 stars for the theme - it really does hurt! Cool game.

Great art style and feel. This is definitely something you could work on post jam (or use as a prototype and expand on the game ideas with more time to play with etc). Nicely done!

Great game, bought back great memories of the arcade days!

Thanks for the comments, yes time was my enemy on this one and the spawn bug was very annoying (due to a tick event I had used causing problems with update and overriding my transform position). Found it too late unfortunately!

I'd also gone with the random mesh and spent too much time working out how to do the craters on bomb impact. Which was fun to learn and do but then found out it didn't work in WebGL so that was a bit of a wasted effort! Thinking back that was 2-3 hours I could have used to bug fix and resolve issues with the game.

I really wanted to do this jam to teach myself to finish a game, in that respect I think I did ok (as managed to get the menus, sound and other less interesting bits done) however the testing and fixing part I didn't leave enough time for.

Lession learnt!

Thanks again.

Just probably needs more info on what to do but otherwise enjoyable:-)

This is so hard, but great :-)

Sorry same, just crashes.

Thanks, I've fixed the main tank spawn bug and a few around the WebGL version (PC version is better). However I don't think we are allowed to do updates so I'll update again at the end of the Jam.

By the way I really like your jam entry, just been playing it again! :-)

Thanks, yes just wish I'd got that bug fixed - managed to do it now but a little late!

Thanks for the comments, yes I know I just ran out of time. I was debating if to enter as I was away with work for Monday to Thursday. Decided to go for it but reckon I needed another 5-6 hours to iron out the bugs and clean up a few things. Oh well you live and learn!

I know what you mean, me also. It's also so I can learn to actually finish a game. I normally start get about 60% through and then start another one, it's a bad habit I need to break!

Yes same issue, thought it was my PC has seems to be causing a few problems lately!

Are we allowed to upload bug fixes or is that not allowed? Thanks.

That's odd, only the first tank should spawn in the same corner (due to a bug!) the rest should be at random all around the map. Seems ok for me but I'll have another look in-case something went wrong after the final build I did.

Wondering if there is an odd issue depending on browser (if that is even possible) as I've just tried in Chrome and it seems to work fine for me. Very odd!

Thanks for trying the game.

I couldn't get far and the camera seems to keep shaking.

Liked this one, interesting and imaginative. I struggled to read some of the text (hints on map) but once I'd found my glasses all was good!

I liked the pacing, after the first couple of goes to get my head around it that was. However once I'd played it a few times I could see that this was a well thought out game.

Nice one.

Well that is a really nice put together game with sound, music etc. Platforms are not my thing but I can see this one actually being quite fun! Well done.

Loved the general idea of the game, wasn't crazy about the tiles as a bit of the shock to the eyes (well my old eyes anyway). However it has some great ideas and I did enjoy it.

Great entry to the jam!

Great fun game :-)

Interesting concept. I seemed to die sometimes when out of range but that was probably down to me. Nice game.

Loved this, especially the sound effects. Great fun !

Known bug, the first tank can drop off the map! For some reason the position is being reset due to an event that seems to be going stray, should only happen to the first tank on level 1. I will find the bug just need some time to look! Thanks.

The only issue I was aware of was the first tank that gets generated can fall off the map to a bug I've not managed to track down. However it doesn't happen with any other tanks and yes I did play test it several times at least.

I however did only manage to get around 20 hours in total to develop this as particular busy work week so I've not tested as much as I'd like.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate if you could give it another try at some stage.

Sorry I can't see how I send a private message on Itch - am I being stupid ? !

I tried to contact via Discord (dominiauk#6893) as well.

Thanks,

I thought it was only me who missed starting the game ! Finally spotted the new game after a few minutes trying all the keys! Fun little game. Great work.

Thanks, much appreciated. It was a struggle trying to get it done in time and had to cut a lot of ideas / features. I'm still learning how to work my time on these Game Jams (my second one), getting better but a long way to go!

Thanks for you comments. The windows version is much better, I think the graphics are a bit much for WebGL. The aim really is getting the highest score before your dungeon falls or you run out of tiles. I had so many more ideas to put in (like monster lairs etc) but time went much quicker than I'd hoped!

I'm really not very good at this, couldn't make the first air jump. I'll come back and give it another go later!

Not my sort of game really but looks interesting if you like platform games. Like how you did the art and intro.
