  • The art style/choices were very nice, loved the look and vibe. The controls were a little awkward, but nothing that couldn't tweaked and fixed with more development. My biggest grumble is the reach of the skeletons who seemed to be able to hit me from the other of the damn map. Jokes aside, this was a really solid entry, and you should be very proud. Great job.

Nice art, I'm not into platformers so I won't judge on that but it looked the business to me. Only issue I could find was that I seemed to be killed when out of range (eg. Skeleton) so wondering if hit boxes need tweaking? Overall great entry

Developer

Yeah I think the main problem is that the lack of a death animation makes deaths feel a lot more unfair.

Those art asset are sweet. The gameplay felt smooth. Could not figure out how to progress. Got double jump and sword, but that was it. Were we supposed to be able to make the double jump just to the right where we pick it up? Actually, never mind, I managed to miss a section. Those bats, though.

Good little game! Decent gimmicks here and there. Loved the art and level design too- only thing i would critique is the controls feel kind of unnatural.

Developer

Yeah I realized afterwards that most people prefer jumping with space or up-arrow instead of "X".

This was a fun little game. I enjoyed playing it and actually completed it, which is a big accomplishment for me on a platformer. I loved that it was non linear. Really good level design.

Great concept, executed well. Personally I found the controls a little awkward.

Very good game.

Very good game! Back tracking when you get new abilities is a great idea.

The music could have been a bit darker for the theme of vampire hunter and killing monsters.

Great game!

A 2D platformer with some new and gimmicks!

Played through the entire thing and found myself having a decent time!

Art was mostly consistent with some nice animations, and the controller usually felt quite nice to control. Enemy behaviours were predictable and once figures out exploitable, but still more in-depth than most jam entires I've played in the past couple years.

Hope to see this go on further!
