Very intuitive puzzle mechanics. You were able to combine the elements in a way were each level introduced something new. I particularly liked the simon one. That was unexpected.

Great job!

Yeah. It's just a shame because it is right before the end (as you suspected). And I rather like the end. I'm really glad you enjoyed it regardless.

Sorry about the soft lock. I made a post about it and how to avoid it on this page but I think it got buried. Perhaps I should have put it on the main game page instead. I have already fixed it but I cannot update the game while the voting period is going on, unfortunately.

Thank you for playing though! It will be fixed the moment voting ends.

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll check out the collision on the falls and see if I can fix it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you didn't find the number of traps un-bear-able.

There is no actual checkpoint system. But you do open up shortcuts as you solve puzzles.

I wanted to have those larger torches for you to light up so you could permanently illuminate larger areas. But I totally understand how they could seem like they were supposed to be a checkpoint or something. That's very valuable feedback. Thank you!

I thought having to play two minigames at once was very nice. And I think the puzzles were set up well, especially considering the time pressure.

Great job

Thank you so much! That genuinely means a lot.

Sorry for swiping the name. But to be fair, I think "Teddy, Breaker of Chains, Slayer of Shadows" is pretty evocative. I would be willing to trade names. Haha. I'll check your game out!

Haha. Yeah I have a lot of minor nitpicks about my game too, trust me! I'm glad you liked it though. Thanks for the feedback.

Great idea and very well executed. I was really getting into it.

I think some of the attacks are just way to hard to dodge. But then again, I dont really play bullet hells, so it might just be a skill issue!

Loved the art, loved the vibe, loved the music.

Great job!

Loved the idea. The puzzles were very fun.

My only critique is that I wish the controls for rotating were not used by the same hand as movement. It was hard to press A and Q or E and D at the same time.

Great job. Very original!

From another person who made a game called POWERLESS with metroidvania elements, I approve! Haha.

I really like this. I appreciate that you showed us problems that we couldnt solve before we got the power to solve them. As soon as I saw that first long jump, I know I was in a metroidvania!

Nice job, very well put together!

I really like how the games systems encourage you to play up close and risky, yet requires you to sacrifice health to progress. This makes decided when to sacrifice an interesting choice!

I could definitely see playing a more fleshed out version of this game.

I shouldnt have made those last minute changes at midnight. Haha. What can you do?

Hey everyone!

I have found a dumb little design mistake in the last puzzle that may stop folks from progressing to the end of the game. Which is a shame because it is the VERY END! I have already fixed this issue but I cannot update the game during the voting period, unfortunately. So in the meantime, I thought Id share how to overcome it here so that if you made it that far you can actually see the end of the game!

I guess I failed...

Time for me to try again...

Thanks so much!

I'll definitely check out your game.

Fun resource eco/ cozy puzzle game! I liked getting to know each cat and what they ran out fastest. I wish you could see the status bars of each cat from slightly further away.

I would definitely play more levels of this game! Great job.

Loved this game. My first empire came to an end when I joined the Direct Current cult and lost everything. My second empire endured for a very long time with high power in both categories!

At a certain point the game just ended and said my kingdom came to an end due to lack of electrical power but at the time I had full political and electrical power. Is the the game supposed to end in this way after a certain number of letters signed? I really wanted to crush the Arc Duke.

(I also thought the font was a little hard to read sometimes. But that could just be me)

At any rate, I could definitely see playing a longer version of this game if the story progressed. Great job!

Fun game and well implemented mechanic. I played a few times to be my longest time.

I think there should have been some visual difference between which surfaces are safe to touch and which will kill you.

Good job. I could see myself playing a game like this with more stages and more enemy types!

Haha. I placed that there and still forgot it existed about 100 times during play testing. I was definitely inspired by metroidvania level design so I'm glad it came across. Thanks for playing!

Thanks!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the take on shortcuts and checkpoints.

I meant for ^2, mostly. If I have 2642, for instance, I dont know how many digits I will have when I use the ^2 button.

Phenomenal presentation and atmosphere! I really loved the main switching mechanic and could definitely see playing a longer version of this game with more bots and more challenging levels.

Well done all around!

At the beginning I thought that the game was far too easy... until I started missing jumps...

Very satisfying gameplay and great music!

Good concept. I think the levels could be way harder.

Loved this! Super sweet and simple but everything feels purposeful and perfectly tuned. I enjoyed every second!

Beautiful design.

Glad you liked it. Thanks! I may have over-dialed the number of hidden traps at the end there!

Thanks!

Extremely clever idea for a puzzle game. The simple levels were very engaging and fun!

I wish the puzzles focused more on the addition and multiplication, though. Once I started using ^2 the numbers became so big that I couldnt do the math in my head. So I was just figuring out which sequence of buttons I had to hit through trial and error rather than engaging with the puzzle.

Great job! Great presentation!

Very cute and fun. Nice job!

This is tough! Sometimes I wish the game would slow down a bit. But the speed is also part of the charm! It gave me some good laughs.

Nice job

Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree with your point about respawns. Ill go check out Diamon Drive!

Great twist on the fighting game genre. I was just button mashing the combos at the start until I learned how to string them together. It was very satisfying to learn.

I feel like I would rather be button mashing with my right hand and executing combos with my left. Since the PC is using their right arm to wrestle and the button mashing was way more strenuous. I also think giving the Cartridge Change some more obvious visual/audio feedback would be nice. In the heat of a match it can be hard to tell if it went off.

The theming and humor were excellent. Fun game. Good job, everyone!

My forearms are tired now, thanks.
