oh, thank you! I was experimenting with camera movement, and it's very nice to get feedback. I'll put more work on making the feedback easier on the eyes next time.

really? thanks man i'll check it out later.

also, sure, i'll upload some prototypes i made a while ago (i've been making music as of lately so i haven't gotten anything done)

The game overall feels very minimalistic and looks clean, and using lighting to give life to a static level is a pretty clever idea imo. However sometimes I feel like the particle effects go way overboard. Also, I can't figure out what the yellow tiles do, and it's very confusin whether or not I can stand on it.

Nice game I'll complete it someday

where is new update

the green tile is very creative and definitely not something I expected! I really wanna play more levels rn lol

hey it's not a bug, it's a feature :D

the auto jumping is a pretty unique idea, i think without it you would just have a normal platformer game. Sometimes difficult controls make for fun gameplay.

This is very fun. I love the tiny little graphic details you have made, and the game is pretty creative too. I wish there was more

It's hard to visualize between screens. In Jump King, you usually can plan ahead, but in this game you jump automatically so it's a bit hard for me to see both maps. Also, the map seems a bit random. Aside from that, nice game. Nice touch on the audio panning left to right following the character.

Thank you!

Thank you so much! I wasn't sure if the music would be annoying to some people, lol

Yea, it was my first time and I was unsure about creating the website and adding pictures and stuff. Also, I was kinda afraid if there were any bugs I would introduce if I made more levels (I know, totally paranoid haha) Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you!

Oh ok, thanks!

What is the problem with the movement? Is it latency? I was searching for a solution but couldn't find it in time haha. Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah, I ran out of ideas for the puzzles. Thanks for playing!

Thank you!

I feel like you could keep it this way. It felt really satisfying when it clicked for me haha

Multiplayer game?? Impressive!

This game fits the theme so well! So very creative! Using flocking to control not an AI, but a player is really neat. The game itself looks very clean and plays smoothly.

Nice. I love this game. I enjoyed the "linking between bullets" mechanic along with simple ghosts, and some very very nice particle effects (good indication where the enemy spawns, dies, and bullet particles too. Imo, the red cursor line is a nice touch to make the game screen a bit less empty, but not too clustered.)

The sound effects can stack up, making it a bit loud, though.

This game is very fun to play.

Nice game.

Thank you! I wanted to make more levels but I ran out of ideas.

I might've commented too negatively about this game;;

I genuinely enjoyed playing through this. It felt very satisfying to me. Thanks for the reply!

The controls are inverted? I think..

Good game!

It took me a minute to figure out how the hook works. Absolutely nice work! I love the music and the visuals! The controls seem very responsive too. The core gameplay idea was creative.

Nice game!

Nice visual novel! Was definitely surprised. I like the artstyle you went with! It was visually distinct and I could easily read the images.

(I don't think there is a bad ending to this game? I went through multiple routes but have only found one ending so far.)

Nice work!

The tutorial was really cool, I liked the idea you had there. I also loved the concept of each character, and the "breakdown" was really creative. I saw other games with physical connections, but this game has a mental connection, which I found very cool.

Though, the physics is pretty weird (movements is very slippery, can't jump on top of other characters, etc.)

Nice game!

Yeah true! I was gonna add a shade to it, along with kind of a pulsing effect, but I was nervous about the deadline and submitted way earlier.. Thanks for playing!

Yeah, that was one of my concerns for this game. I tried to interpolate to make it less obvious, but that doesn't cover it up completely.. I guess I need to add more instantaneous feedback next time. Thanks for the review!

Thanks! A lot of people say they like to move to the beat, which is pretty surprising to me, because I made that beat under an hour haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you!!

I like the reroll sound and art, but other stuff seem a bit less polished. Great game!

(I kept trying to crank the lever hoping it'd work.. haha)

Thank you for letting me resize the screen! I prefer playing on windowed mode!

This kinda feels like Downwell but reversed. I liked that this game didn't limit your movement to the screen (like other autoscrollers).

This is amazing! The animation and artwork makes this game come to life!

I chose a very similar mechanic, and it was interesting to see what other people have made with the same idea. (puzzles, artwork, music, your game wins by a long mile though..)

Great game! I had a fun time playing it!

Very creative! The story is very engaging, and the gameplay perfectly complements the writing!

One problem I had was that the text wasn't visible on the corners, probably because my monitor has a small resolution. So, I couldn't read all the text on the screen.

Other than that, great game!

Nice! I love how you used a well-known mechanic in a way I couldn't've imaged.

The artstyle and music fit together in a really nice way, and the puzzles were pretty creative!

(I went out of bounds once lol)

I love the graphics and audio, particularly the music. The gameplay is really unique and I love it.

Though, the player and enemies don't move in sync, which is a bit uncomfortable for me haha

I feel like this game definitely was made by people who knew what they were doing. Amazing job! I loved the game!

Nice choice of music and art. The mage splitting is a really cool mechanic. Great job finishing on time! You made dialogue boxes and a tutorial with images too, that's really impressive.

(I got hit so much my HP became negative less goooo)

You have such a nice style to your game! I love the fast movement. I usually don't like it when puzzle games have slow movement, so this felt nice. I also loved the (shoot down = double jump) kind of mechanic.

Though..

  • You can skip through most of the levels because you have a lot of hearts and invulnerable frames.
  • I wish when you held down jump, you could jump higher. Sometimes the jump was hard to control.

This is such a nice game! I really enjoyed playing through this.

(BTW, if it's made with GMS, why not allow resizing? It took me a while to figure out Alt+Enter makes the game fullscreen, along with other controls.)

Thanks!
