Fantastic! Loved how you put so much story, mood, and hints at a wider world into these few locations. Very engaging.

Great game, I could play it yesterday evening. The art is very nice, neat pixel art, nice colors, plenty of details. The gameplay is cool with some interesting puzzles. I liked the music and atmosphere and the story was interesting too. Well done!

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)

It was a pleasure playing your game! It has nice graphics and a great plot! The music fits very well to the atmosphere and the game gets more and more thrilling. Hats off!

Thanks my friend, much appreciated :)

This was a wonderful experience, beautiful pixel art and animations and a gripping story. Well done getting it done in just two weeks!

Developer

Thank you! Much appreciated, it was tiring but I'm glad I got it finished!

That was incredibly good. Really engaging. Great ending. Everything was incredibly polished for just 2 weeks work. The puzzles worked well. Some challenge but not too obscure given the limited area and objects. Story was great could lead to a sequel I guess, if you wanted.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I appreciate that. Yes maybe there could be more to tell, who knows :)

Great stuff! The atmosphere is great, and the music really plays a part in making the reveals very effective. I posted a list of bugs on the main game page (nothing breaking a first playthrough, though you can't restart a game without it getting seriously messed up)

Developer

Thank you! Hopefully most of the bugs are ironed out in the latest version - 1.0.4. :)

Yeah! Tried it again and didn't encounter any of these issues again!

Great game. From start to finish. The art is mesmerizing and the tasks we are entrusted with are pleasing to fulfill. It’s cozy in a way, but also eerie, even from the start, as you know something is hiding. (spoiler spoiler

I really like the tasks part, and how time passes. It really makes me feel like I’m going through the day to day, and then by the end when you know he was being watched, it’s interesting because it’s like people were finding comfort in watching someone who’s comfortable with their own daily life and their path to enlightenment.

By the end, the last segment, it has a surprise, and unfortunately I knew there was going to be a plot twist, but I didn’t know what it was for sure. And I’m not sure how much I liked it, because I think I also played another game which had rules and I mean, it’s that thing about AI, right? The thoughts about what would happen if AI ruled us? And that’s fair but in a way it was less surprising. But, it was still interesting, and it’s also fun that we get to try two endings! I actually should try it.

There were one or two bugs I didn’t find game-breaking, but overall the game is extremely polished and I would have loved to play it if it were a full game. The setting is immersive and the art is so, so polished - all those animations! Many congratulations for creating this game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! As it was a two week game jam it was difficult to fit everything in, and I had to move forwards with animations and backgrounds alongside plotting, so it was really a balancing act. I hadn't thought as much about AI ruling as the commercialising of 'cozy' entertainment (I'm glad you used that word, as that's what I was trying to put forwards for the first part), with people watching simple, calm lives but not necessarily making that change for their own lives... but not necessarily saying that is bad, more raising it as a question - it's not necessarily possible for all to live such a life if there is money difficulties, and not even what all people may want, but perhaps most can see the benefit of removing a lot of societal stress? Anyway, that was the thinking behind it, and the game sort of developed from that. I usually write horror, so this was a bit different, a bit sci fi too, and I enjoyed making it :) Thank you for playing!

Yeah, I could see the sci-fi! And there was something in it that reminded me of great classics like the Blackwell series and also the Dig maybe? Though I couldn’t say Blackwell is sci-fi. But the artstyle gave me really strong vibes of something beautiful.

I think I would also add that one of the puzzles I did try wrongly, which was one with the lemon. I thought I had to slice it before washing the clothes. I wonder if that was originally planned and then dropped because of the time. But yeah I didn’t think you did say it it was or wasn’t bad. In fact it’s funny because at times I’ve found it really comforting to watch Big Brother but when there’s nothing happening and they’re just washing the dishes and sitting on the couch peacefully. Watching that made me feel like I was learning something in my life. But usually people watch Big Brother for the bits when people are arguing. So if we think about it, that society is much less addicted to conflict than our society right now.

Your game also reminded me of a book, but I fear giving that out would hint you too much about the book’s plot. But there was a bit in it that reminded me of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go. Have you read it? I think you might like it.

Developer

I haven't... I think I know a bit of the plot though, which I imagine is a spoiler (not sure where I learned it though). I will check it out though, thank you :)
