Hey. I just finished playing. AND I solved it correctly! I enjoyed that. I found the style really charming and funny. Lovely animations and neat camera switches. Fun music. Love the intro with the driving bit! I liked slowly figuring out what XT was and who all the characters were, and I was also really happy that I got it right. It was a bit frustrating that I couldn't save the game, but hey! It's a jam game! Bravo.
Well done, turns out, it's not as easy as I thought to solve it! I will be doing a post jam version with all the good stuff like saving, I can totally understand it's a pain not having features like that.
Thanks! Yeah, if I'm honest I felt like I was making an educated best guess rather than being fully certain that I had it right. I think it's really tricky to get the balance between leaving things a bit open and unclear and just spoon feeding the right answer in a case like this. I think you did a good job. Maybe some grey areas could have been cleared up slightly more - (SPOILER!!! for example, one was left just having to believe the delivery girl when she said she was out, rather than being able to corroborate her testimony elsewhere)
Asbsolutely brilliant. The clues made sense. It was all very logical and I appreciated the fact that there were no hidden surprises. All the information was there to find. A really great game!
This was fun, loved the vibes! Great pacing from music, animation, dialogue and gameplay . And Duck is a fantastic character. Would love to see more from this Duo. And, yeah, I got the final answer wrong... but the clues were all making perfect sense in hindsight.
I really liked your game! The use of a 3d engine adds a lot to it (it doesn't seem to be Unity, there is not the logo on game launch). It's very funny with interesting characters, and the pixel art is really cool! I had a virus warning when I copied your files, I don't know why (you're not the only game in that case). Someone else told me that there was a virus notification with my game too (trojan, wacatac), which has never happened before. I mean, I made a Unity build with no additional file, and my antivirus doesn't find anything on my computer. Could it be that viruses were added after the files were uploaded to itchio? It seemed like itch was under attack all the weekend. I don't know... Anyway cool game, great job in 2 weeks! Congrats!
Thanks! It's actually made with Godot :) Unfortunately it does seem like most engines can result in a false positive on peoples antivirus which is really rubbish but I don't think there is much we can do about it. I think if I do another jam game I will aim for a web build.
I had no idea AGS could do 3D stuff now! Loved the humour, I got the answer wrong but all the clues made sense so that was just me not paying enough attention. I laughed out loud when I realised the cause of death was also a take on the jam theme. Nice work!
Ah alas, I did cut my teeth on AGS but this is made in Godot! Thanks for playing and I'm glad the murder got at least one laugh! :D I'll be sure to leave a comment when I get round to playing LAN Party '97 - I saw the art in the WIP channel in Discord and the final screenshots do not disappoint, it looks great.
Oh, haha, I'd assumed AGS because of the virus issue I was having with some of these downloads - gotta love Godot though, I had a lot of fun working in it for this jam!

Thanks! It definitely isn't easy to get to the final answer which is something I will change a little when I do a post-jam version.

Yeah the virus thing is sooooo annoying. I do love Godot, no going back for me now!
