Let's make one thing clear: if there's any issue with your translation, it's because you did something wrong. We now have over 100 versions of it working perfectly fine, and they were built with the exact same material and shared on the exact same platform. The game is fine.
This said, I obviously understand your frustration.
What I would do if I were you is to stick to a basic Windows+Excel machine, download the localization kit again, double click on the CSV file, paste the translation inside it, carefully proofread each line, save and upload the zipped folder to Itch.io
It seems to me that something in the finer details of your LibreOffice save didn't work well, and this will fix it once and for all.
And please let me take this chance to repeat that you can always update your entry, as stated in the FAQ.

You need upload THE FULL ZIPFILE with your edited CSV file.
1)Download the localization pack again
2) Carefully unzip it, carefully open the CSV file and paste your translations over
3) Zip the full folder again
4) Upload it again to Itch.

Thanks for submitting this, but keep in mind LocJAM is a game translation jam.
I never expected for original games to be submitted.
Still, I am willing to allow it, on a trial base, if it has a substantial text content and it's provided in more than one language.
Failing that, I will need to remove since it doesn't really mesh with the other entries. Again, this a game translation jam 😅
Yeah, fair point: remember that the Unity version still needs the CSV file. It is the very same build as the "normal" version after all!
And while I'm here, another pointer: the game is only tested to run on Itch.io
Other servers might have setting that affect its functions, and it will be up to you to figure those out
(= if you decide to use your own server to speed up things, cool for you but don't ask us here. You're on your own...)

I'm a bit perplexed by step #2, but I guess it's an effective way to confirm that the game is intact.
Step 3 is what I would recommend to everyone: work on a "dirty" local copy, and then paste your translations on an otherwise 100% fresh zipfile. Why take any risks?
And indeed, the only tool I really tested is Excel. I'm confident LibreOffice can work just as well, but you may need to figure out some more stuff on your own.

What do we translate? A web-based point-and-click adventure. 4800 words, CSV format.
What language can I translate into? From English into anything you want. Just be aware that our current font only supports the following: French, Italian, German, Spanish, (and any other language based on the Latin alphabet), Greek, Cyrillic, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
How do I participate?
A translation pack will be published on the https://itch.io/jam/locjam-5 website during the contest, which you must translate and send back as instructed in order to participate.

Do I need to know programming to participate?
Not at all. We have reprogrammed the game to make the translation process as simple as editing a csv file. This said, we will also provide a separate package with the full Unity source code to allow further customization for those who want it.
Can I share the original game and its translation?
Both the original game and its translation will be tied to anAttribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). Provided that you credit the original authors and don't use it for commercial purposes, you are free to "copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format" and to "remix, transform, and build upon the material".
Can I complete and revise the translation later on if you want?
Absolutely! Entries will be locked for the voting week, but feel free to improve it and add it to your portfolio. It's all yours.
Is it free of charge?
Yes, it’s entirely free and non-profit. All event activities are managed and sponsored by Alain Dellepiane / Team GLOC
What kind of prizes are awarded?
LocJAM deliberately avoids having any official prizes. Instead, the focus is on providing visibility through the website and meetings. The general idea is to provide something that can help the career of translator without encouraging a cut-throat competition. This is a jam, the people you meet and the experience you acquire matter more than being in the winners list. In other words, the focus is squarely on the journey, not the destination.
What are the goals of the event?
LocJAM wants to be a focal point for the game localization community at large, gathering its different members and souls around a single game.
Creativity and collaboration are strongly encouraged and LocJAM administrators reserve the right to disqualify any contestant acting aggressively, maliciously or otherwise creating discomfort to the community in general.
