Nice!

What I usually do is just make a new project on itch and put a newer/improved version there at least until voting ends. Can even link to that one for anyone that may want to try it, perhaps in a Dev Log on this submission or just in the description even.

Haha I really wanted to try making a line rider style game, but it seemed like there were a decent amount of hurdles to work around, so great job! It plays really well too! Especially in some of the later levels, trying to get everything to connect.
Also, nice touch with the snow effect. It makes the background much more interesting.

Nice game! I fell, a lot haha. But I really like the design :)

This seems super legit. Not at all sus.

virustotal so y'all don't have to. I'm not saying anything one way or the other, but, y'know.

Glad you enjoyed but sorry to hear about performance issues. I am curious, but no obligation to provide of course, which browser you were having issues in? Just so I can test and see if there's anything I could optimize in the future. Thanks for playing regardless!

Wow, multiplayer! Very cool to see.

Solid entry for a first jam! I think I picked up *too* much momentum and Santa never came back haha
Some expanded levels, maybe a score, and maybe jumping(?) and you've definitely got a game!

Cool idea overall! I like how the player's attention is focused on the conveyer belt and not what may or may not be happening behind them haha.

I'm sure this is something you would have fixed with more time, but I couldn't get my mouse to lock to the window. Could also just be an issue on my system, not sure. Required some shenanigans to actually turn around lol.

Good effort!

Definitely has that momentum feel! And the swinging feels nice as well. Nice game!

Thanks! I did indeed finish it. Ran very nicely on Windows

Very fun game! I really like the upgrades and how they are presented. I had a hard time choosing which ones to take, which is good because they all sounded like good choices. Web build did indeed crash, but for quite a few minutes.
Art and sound effects were great as well. Nice job

And now I need to look into Bevy haha

Thanks! We'll leave in the "R to restart" development hotkey next jam :D

Zipping along on the lights is immensely satisfying. Also, great work with the intro story. The rhyming/verse gave it even more of a christmas-y feel.

I so desperately wanted to finish this game I tried on multiple browsers but it kept crashing at different parts of the story.

But I almost wonder if that was intentional- forcing a restart, like letting a snowglobe settle before shaking it up again.

Also, as a consequence of restarting multiple times, I was able to try some of the different story choices.

I am sure that in a few hours, the need to finish this game will haunt me and I doubt I will sleep tonight until I figure out how to do so without causing the game to crash.

Well done.

Wow that sled can really turn on a dime! I had fun playing, and I like the art. Definitely felt the momentum in the speed and the turning, so nice job with integrating that for sure.

The intro cutscene sound effect subtitles were fantastic, as was the art and story. Also, fun gameplay. I like the elf recovery granting presents. Cool concept and cool game!

I really liked this! The intro cutscene was well done and explained quite well why Santa needs to bust through a ceiling.

Also, I like the level design with the helpful placement of candy canes to give some hints as to where to move to! Nice touch!

Seems like it would be a cool concept! If you continue to develop it you should definitely post a link!

Good job!

Fun! Really like that you did a 2 player mode!
I also really like the scoreboard design, and the map in general.

Movement felt good, and they computer's movement logic was not too smart to be impossible but not too dumb to be an instant win, so good job with that balance.

Nice game! I definitely enjoyed trying the different types of weapons. I think this could do well as a controller/twinstick option as well, but the controls with keyboard and mouse were solid.
I didn't realize that I had won until the nice outro animation :)

The points in the comment by NicolasGatien are definitely valid. That being said, I will keep an eye your for your BOSS RUSH jam game!

Last note: Was I supposed to be able to  interact with the flying santa head? haha

Nice game! I actually didn't notice any screen dimension issues? (chrome, win10) So, yay haha. Motion feels nice, I like the backwards drift on the player as well as the icebergs and items. Responsive enough to feel like I could just dodge an iceberg as I collected a candy cane, etc.

If you decide to keep working on it, definitely post an updated link! I would definitely play.

Only managed a 98 but I'm pretty sure this will be one I come back to to try to beat my own score lol.

For a first game, really great job. Heck, it would be a good job for a second, third, fifth game. Keep it up! :D

Fun idea! I'm not sure if yeeting it backwards to -132m deserved a good job, but I appreciate it anyway :D

Wow. I really like the art and the story. Also, the little details like the interactions with the different scenes adds a nice depth.

Well done!

Cool idea. I'm not sure how to win, but, I also kind of like that. I do think there is a way to win, though, so I'll definitely play again.

Ya after this I'm really excited to try Godot again! (From the start, next time haha)
Thanks!

Forgot to come back and leave a comment about the game itself haha. I liked it! I think the level size is perfect, and the controls were intuitive. Most importantly, for me, I thought it was fun. Really nice job!

Howdy! I think the game might still be on draft/restricted?

A+ Backstory. I like the platform/trampoline mechanic. I also like that you can move around in the game over screen, which I reached often haha. Nice job!

Didn't expect 3D. Pretty cool. Nice job!

Wow! Great music, smooth gameplay. Awesome job

This game is really fun!

Good catch on the play again bug. Looks like the GUI is not resetting.
Thanks for the feedback!

I like how intuitive the controls were, and how you integrated instructions into the map in an unobtrusive way. Felt pretty balanced too in terms of the "quick" maps parts, turrets, etc. A fun game and well done!

Thanks for taking the time to try our game!
The feedback is definitely appreciated. Agreed on the "needs improvement" areas. The original plan was to be able to steal different specials, and have more opponents, and the combat system was supposed to be slightly more involved, but ran out of time :)
P.S. I really liked your game too!

If you want to play a more finished version that's actually like a game, here you go! https://graypenguin.itch.io/gem-tag-updated
