Eyy, fellow mental health game! This was a really creative concept, and I enjoyed the style of the main character and how you visualised Alice in Wonderland syndrome. If you ever end up doing a post-jam update, I would really recommend adding audio cues to help identify what's happening. when he closes his eyes, and also maybe altering collisions slightly. Still, enjoyable game for 48 hours, with neat writing and a neat idea (:

I can't believe it took me so long to get around to this game. This was the game I was most excited for based on the progress pictures, and you did not disappoint!!! I love this silly little rat game with all my being -- the running around with weapons, the bard music, the c h e e s s e- all of it! Very fun idea, very fun gameplay, and a really thrilling difficulty. The game is obviously quite unpolished -- I got stuck in the environment a couple of times, and I think a little bit of medieval music in the main menu would be *chef's kiss,* but this game is so silly and charming that I still enjoyed the hell out of it.
10/10 will be maceing Sir. Boss again (with the power of cheese, of course)
This idea is wonderfully creative, and I really enjoyed playing it. The depth of the main mechanic is shockingly deep, especially with what little time you were given. For me at least, the drag and drop was a bit janky, and I think maybe just better UI/UX or something like the option to show controls in general would be beneficial, but I really enjoyed playing this, and super cool idea (:!
I can sum up this game in one word: cosy. This is a super lovely little game -- particularly the art and writing -- an d I love the theme and story! I do think the controls are a little bit hard to get used to, but I got it down eventually. Wonderful little treat, and honestly probably one of my favourite jam games aesthetically and vibes-wise I've played so far (:
This kind of game is right up my alley! I loved the writing and the premise, though I do think the formatting makes it slightly harder to read text with more than one character, and the aesthetic is oddly nostalgic (big Fallout vibe). I would happily pay to have this as a full game, especially as the core gameplay loop is very addictive. There's also a shocking amount of events, especially for a jam game, though it does get a little repetitive after year 20ish. I think the actual shipbuilding could use some more restrictions for balance purposes, and there's one or two events I would also consider rebalancing (the distress signal one where you can choose whether or not to bring on more passengers ended literally all of my runs. though I suppose that might also be appropriate punishment for being immoral), but all around this is an amazing game! The whole team should feel proud of themselves (:
Oh absolutley. The dialogue changes are top of my list for a post-jam update. My main hobby is writing novels and short stories-- and it was also how I earned money before I started Uni, so I think I just assumed I could leave the writing for the last couple hours of the last day I could work on it and it would be easy-peasy.
Turns out trying to write game dialogue in 5 minutes when you've pretty much exclusively written prose and when you're stressed and in a rush because of deadlines doesn't lead to amazing dialogue writing lol. And I didn't have the time to rewrite it once I reread it and realised. So, definitely re-writing most of the dialogue when I have the time. Can't well be an author and have your one public game have mediocre writing.
Thank you so much for the feedback (:!
Thank you for the feedback And if/when I make a post-jam update I'll definitely see if I can set up a couple of settings for audio and font control, which I think should be relatively easy to do (:! Retrospectively, I could have probably set up a super simple settings menu during the jam itself, but eh, first jam, and you live and learn lol
Just wonderfully silly. I love me some good nature vs man... or carnivorous tree vs village, I suppose. This is super creative, addictive, and fun! I especially love the sound design, both music and sfx-wise; it adds so much to the atmosphere. I didn't get to see the ending sadly, because I accidentally clicked through it, but I really enjoyed this (:!
This game's colour palette is beautiful, and the entire game is very clean and nice to look at, aesthetically speaking. I think the movement works really well -- the ship glides around in this very satisfying way that makes it extra nice to dodge a swarm of enemies -- and the game just generally has a really good feel to it. The furthest I got was barely making it to the third ship before dying, but I found the game really difficult, so I'm proud of that accomplishment!
(Posting this here too because I really loved this game and my praise of it deserves to be visible on all its pages.)
This was incredibly fun! I absolutley adore the animation as he climbs, and there's all these details that really enhance the experience, like the way the music in the background changes. Sometimes I think the collision boxes for the rocks are a bit finicky, but overall this game has been so fun to play, and really scratched that 'A Difficult Game about Climbing' and 'Getting Over It' itch I sometimes get (:!
