Thanks for the extensive review!

Here are some answers:

- Empty chests are for storing your items in it. Your inventory has only 20 slots, you will fill it quickly

- To equip a weapon you have to click it in your inventory. Clicking items has a little trick that I didn't have time to change, you have to click the actual outline of the item texture. To unequip, click it again. When interacting with a chest, because of reordering of items, weapons will be unequipped (unintended effect of inventory design)

- To hit a zombie you must have a weapon equipped and press space while a zombie is in your proximity (which is a very small area, if you are not careful the zombie will hit you too). With guns (which are found in military hangars accessible only at night) you have to hold left-click to shoot, and have bullets

- Most weapons are not well mapped to the character when equipped. This would have taken a lot more time, since you need a new frame for every animation times every weapon. I would have done it if I had an extra day. Only the rifle is fully mapped when equipped.

What license are these?

Ending is sometimes bugged, will fix after the jam.

I liked it, one of the better games out here for sure

Thank you!

I might actually update and polish the game after the jam!

Thank you!

To craft you have to find a building with a crafting table, access it and left-click on the item's icon that you want to craft.

The best crafted game I played in this jam so far. All the details are there and the art is great.

I didn't quite get the combat at first, I didn't know where to land the skill check, but it was cool.

I had issues running this game. The game felt like in slow-motion and had a lot of input lag.

No problem! It would be cool if you can rate my game too

It was really really dark for me and the player sometimes gets stuck on corners.

It was fun though

The game was made in two days and a half for a game jam and it ranked pretty low anyway. I'm sorry, I'm probably not going to update it for a while or even ever.

There's an issue with clicks not registering at some ticks. It was a cheap and fast workaround made because of lack of time for the game jam.  Spamming the book should close it at some point. The game is supposed to be "laggy", meaning that ships don't accelerate, they move a certain number of pixels at a time.

I forgot to package the Java virtual machine files so you need the Java JDK 19  to run it.

https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk19-windows

Yes, raw Java. And on top of it all, I actually just learned Java 2 weeks ago! It's my second finished game ever... obviously i'm stil a newbie in game dev.

The FAQ on the jam page is quite ambiguous. It is not mentioned if the asset must follow all guidelines or just one of them. A paid asset is not general purpose I guess, therefore it is not clear if it follows the guildelines or not.

Can I use assets that I paid for?

Am I required to fill the form? What happens if I dont?

Interesting idea, and I really like the cover artwork!

Really good idea, but sometimes it's hard to know which element or item is the one that you need. A tooltip would've been great.

But the idea is very very good!

Very good soundtrack, game is solid. Doesn't match with the theme but well executed

Thank you! It's my first ever published game and it has many problems. It's unbalanced, it's buggy, I barely had time to develop it but I had fun making it!

It says that i'm not required to follow the theme. In that case, do I still get rated based on how well the game fits the theme?
