Well this is certainly unique, props for that! However the intro is too long for what it is, and the controls were very confusing! Intentional bugs I suppose? There need to be some alternatives or telegraphing of such things though. It didn't feel like I had any control over anything, which is kind of the opposite of what a game is so, be careful with that! But definitely a solid core idea.
Very cute art and a fun little game. :) But are the mouse controls inverted? That feels kind of wrong. :c
That was so cute ^^ really enjoyed the story and the music. The theme is really beautiful. If you could work on the movement , juice and the gameplay, this could turn into a pretty beautiful game! Good job! be proud ^^ especially of your fantasy :D keep on going!
The game is looking very good Color choices great, was too hard for me to play, but a nice game experience tnx
Cured! And the flower is a-okay! The amount of seeds that ladybug was spitting out; lol.
I did find myself waiting around for clovers a lot - I think the idea here is really cute and could be iterated on to make a great game for kids; perhaps instead of protecting one flower you are growing more; with every howevermany things collected flowers get added to a flower patch - but as far as tasking goes for a gamejam; this was well done!
The art style is very adorable and it was good to see a jam game having some amount of story to it. I mostly love narratives in games so it鈥檚 always a plus in my books. The mouse seemed to control weird but I believe that adds to the strength considering the theme.
To add some constructive criticism for this. Try to add more player feedback and try to exaggerate movement and actions. If something is happening on the screen that you want the player to be aware of, exaggerate it.
But it鈥檚 a good little game, so good work and Keep at it. It鈥檚 all part of the learning process.
Meanwhile, if you like you can play my entry at https://bit.ly/glitchIn
Nice game, I love the art. I got realy confused with the whole reverse mouse movement at first and how the bugs are actually helping you. Maybe there could be some enemies added, because I found the most optimal way to play is to just sit at the bottom of the screen and wait for the clovers to come in. Also you made me feel so bad when I got a game over with the art and the music lool
It took me a couple times to "get" but once I did I thought it was pretty good. Interesting concept and a good fit for the theme with the reversed control. At first I was kinda confused why the flower was withering, but that turned out to be on a timer. Maybe some sort of timer bar or explaining it in the tutorial would have helped to clarify that.
Also the art and story is super super cute. Really liked it, definitly the cutest game I played of the jam. It made me really want to see what happenned after I finished it. Really nice game and concept overall so good work!
I like the idea but the controls make it unplayable.
Is that supposed to be the intentional bug?
I'd like to play it with normal controls, that would be way more fun.
Good game for a jam, realistic scope
Very cut drawings and funny light mood. But this game reminds you that, under the nice coat, life is pain and suffering, it is reaaaally hard ! Too hard to be satisfying imo but you're on something good to improve, and the little storytelling is fun !
