No worries, I was not mad at you but at my computer :D

I know that for a game jam you can't spend much time on optimisation.

I still think that you could make your idea a big thing!

I'm mad... I'm mad because my sh*t computer couldn't run the game smoothly... Still when I saw the key and the door I got hooked by the game! So I played for nearly 40min... At ~2 fps... I read the whole book to find clues (I usualy never read books in games)... Unfortunately I couldn't do much because of my FPS (and I'm stupid :D)

The atmosphere makes me think of Myst or Riven. You should defenitely make a full game based on this!

It's really awesome work! Maybe the best game I played in this jam! well done!

Good job!

I feel like it's the begining of something :)

The combat aspect was a little bit tricky especially because you used 'Z' which is not the best in my opinion. 'P' would have been better I think so I could use my right hand to fight.

So in the end I just skipped all the enemies :P

Thank you for the kind words! I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Actually each buildings has an influence on houses. Cathedral has 10 000 and Church has 2 000. this influence is divided by the number of houses in the building zone. (you can see your cult influence and the other cult influence when you hover a house).

In your case your cathedral didn't have enough influence on houses to counter the influence of the 3 red churches around. ;)

Part of the "end game" is to manage this influence ratio.

I should have made something so the player understand this mechanic better...

Actually yes the first level was the one with 1 archer in each line. But since I was trying to figure out how to play, I completely messed up and then I had an other level with a catapult. So in the end I thought you had a bunch of levels and you show them in a random order.

Congratulation for your first game then ;) ! (It's also the first time for me to participate in a game jam  :) )

Nice chill game!

It tooks me some time to figure out how to build the hotel mostly because of the shortcuts you have to learn at the begining.

Since there is not much things in your menus, I think you can show most of it on the screen directly. Like al building blocks and furnitures.

Something like this maybe ? :

Good job anyways !

I have to say that the music you used from level 5 made me smiles so congratulations for that :D !

I'm a little bit sad that the "restart" button doesn't work because the game becomes hard quickly and I had to restart the whole game to try again. But I managed to finish it!

Good job !

It tooks me some time to understand what ants to use in which situations.

I think you should make sequencial levels where you introduce enemies little by little. When your first level has  catapult and soda ants, you have no ideas of how to deal with it as a new player ^^'.

Good job !

Good idea!

I needed some time to figure out where to click on some games because the green halo is hard to see for some of them.

Very nice idea and art style!

Maybe you could add footsteps on the ground for accessibility (people with hearing issues or playing without sound).

Thank you for your feedback !

At first I wanted to add the capacity of sending followers break other buildings but I wanted to keep a peaceful game.

I wanted to add some special buildings but I didn't have time and good ideas so I prefered to polish the ui instead.

Nice art style!

Like the others, I didn't understand the meter. Is it some king of structure integrity meter ?

Maybe it would be easier to control with the mouse (scroll wheel to rotate danc click to drop) ?

Good job !

Nice !

With little bit more time to work on level design it could become really great!

Good job!

Nice Idea!

I spent more time than I expected ^^'.

Maybe you should make the scale move little by little instead of one big step ?

Good job!

Nice little game!

I'm not a fan that the circle moves only when you stop walking but I can understand that it's a design choice that makes the game harder.

Great job!

Cool game! Nice idea but hard to master. Maybe it's easier to play with a controller ?

Adding upgrades as it has been suggested would be awesome! (Like double fists, or a chain/lasso).

Great job!
