Saw @OgelGames recommend this, great recommendation! One of my top picks now also

Thanks! I liked your concept more, good luck!

I agree haha. The first 5-6 days the world was about 1/4th the size so the speed felt great, then I expanded the world to make it more of an exploration. I’d say if I had another day I’d include some sort of mechanic that would allow faster traversal like teleportation to areas that you’ve been or speed boosts that you can move through while in the air

Originally the pause menu was rotating much closer to the central island, so pausing the game allowed you to see where the cakes were. But then on the last few days I decided to expand the world and zoomed out the pause menu to fit more of the world. Unfortunate side effect -> it kind of lost the effect 😅

The movement felt great +1

Bookmarking ElevnLabs <3

If you ever figure that out, let me know. Def something I’m going to need to know in the future. My guess would be to have a signal on a global object, then whenever an enemy dies, trigger that signal with position data. Then on the planet listen to the signal and apply the information to the shader on that object? Who knows

<3 Thanks for the compliments haha, it feels good getting back into 3d modeling

My level design was a bit non existent so they’re scattered in weird spots XD

Hell yea! Also, I love that you put a music and sfx options in there and the billboard effect was well utilized. Great little game.

Whos voice is this? Is it your voice? Is it an ai voice. Do tell. I like the audio a lot and the visuals are very well done. I would say that it’s took me a second to realize that the cube was interactable because it blended in with eh background, but the gameplay was great. I did find it a bit odd that the mouse and the player jumps both affected the camera position, I wonder what it would have felt like if it was just the mouse

I’m not sure if it loaded correctly for me, the entire background was just blue, and I had to guess where to jump 😅 image.png But I love the shoutout to Samurai Jack

Hello tink bat, welcome to the download only gang. We don’t seem to get many reviews, so I’m here to download your game and bump your review count haha. Best of luck. Now, onto the game -> High score -2, not sure if that was intended to mean “negative 2” but I read is as that and loved it. The player movement is extremely smooth, how did you accomplish that? My recommendation though would be to add some screen shakes when things explode, to really add to the feel

Looks like a fun game but I second this comment. Godot game jam should only be Godot games

When exporting, in the export settings, enable “Emebed PCK”. That way you can share the .exe file. Alternatively, you can upload a zip with the exe and pck files. Currently, your game just throws an error because it can’t find the pck.

I feel duped haha (since you released this over a year ago). Great game nonetheless.

That font generator: Do you know if it’s commercial free to use? The tool seems wicked. Onto the game: The squash and stretching that you did was wicked, really added to it. I would have liked to have seen the levels before picking a shape, or perhaps pressing a key to swap the shapes while in-game. Overall, fun use of shapes and puzzles!

Another download only game <3 We seem to get far less reviews than the web based peeps eh haha. Anyways, the game was great. The music really added to it. What parts did you make yourself (art, code, sound, etc)?

Eh, I’m here to support the download only gang <3 I enjoyed the game, I’d recommend adding sound effects. Sounds make a game “feel” better. Also, I wasn’t sure if the ladders were meant to be climbable so that part confused me a bit, but the concept was really fun to play.

Really neat art style, did you do it yourself?

The art style is fantastic, loved the whole thing.

Great entry! Fits the theme well.

Fun game!

😭 The menus wouldn’t appear on the web build, and I genuinely can’t figure out why. It would have been so much more convenient for everyone haha

Verlet integration? Never heard of it (just had to googled it), very very useful. Thanks!

The textures looked great 🔥

If music was a category for this jam, you’d get a 5 for that as well. Great job overall!

Very detailed, especially for a jam game 🔥 I do like the creepy Pokemon vibes

Decent concept! For others who play - the campfire is friendly, don’t try jumping over it XD

We both used balloons, but yours is actually fun. haha good job!

Physics based tetris. I like it

The camera shake adds quite a bit to the overall feel. Note to self, add camera shake going forward

Two questions. 1. How did you create your smoothing for the player falloff speed, it feels great. 2. Is there some wizardry with Godot or did you code the connection between the player and the boat?
