The music is fire and the visuals are nice, albeit all the rooms kind of look the same. The gun designs are nice. I wish that the game was a bit more challenging, it felt very easy. Ending cutscene was epic.  Awesome game overall

Congrats on making it that far! Yeah the boss is very difficult and takes a lot of practice to beat. Glad you enjoyed

BTW, were you able to retry the boss after the time is up? If not that's probably a bug ,which there are a fair bit of

Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you!! :)

We focused more on puzzle aspects than platformer aspects for this game, but you are right, the dynamic jump height would be a good addition. There was a lot else to focus on :D glad you thought the physics wasn't too broken!

This is a really great tileset! I used it in my game for the Github Game Off game jam: https://jackachulian.itch.io/scaleton

Yep, that's fine by me! If I find some free time in the future, I'll contribute to the project

I think this would fall under post processing, so yes

Had a lot of fun working on this project! You are a very talented game developer. Some of the code was pretty unoptimized though; I encourage you to look into alternatives for computationally expensive functions like FindObjectByTag. That being said, this game concept was incredible and in my opinion the best game 1 day in the jam

Web build is up, there seems to be an audio glitch though

Yep, it's building rn. Will get it up ASAP

Thank you! Yeah hopefully a dev will pick this up and fix it. All your games in this jam have been great btw!

Thank you! Glad the project is still alive :) hoping it makes it to day 6

Super impressive, the VFX looks really nice! Thanks for continuing this project

That's interesting, it might just be the WebGL compiler doing some optimization on its own, not really sure, but it was pretty choppy in the editor

Remember to link the previous days!

As of an hour past the deadline the source code has no downloads, so I'm assuming no one else has chosen this yet

sus ngl

thanks for continuing this branch off my game! Really hope this concept makes it farther

Make sure to set your game type to HTML and upload the project files!

Thanks for choosing my game! The elevation slider is a really cool touch, glad you were able to at least somewhat understand my code it seems :D

Bro what x.x this is actually so impressive, thank you for taking my game idea and making something beautiful out of it! :)

If you're not planning on doing anything special with the graphics, standard 2D is probably your best bet.

If you want to customize the look of your game, then go for URP, but it is more complicated.

Really good level design!!

Pretty difficult but game looks great, good job!

Unique take on a horror game. Game was pretty dark and hard to navigate but i suppose that's the point. Super horrifying atmosphere great job on the horror elements

The artstyle is incredible! Music and story is great too. It would be nice if there were more checkpoints. I quit after a bit of the frog section because it got too frustrating to do the level over again and i kept dying :/

I'm impressed all this was done in 48hrs! However, I think the levels could be more polished, so maybe going for less/shorter levels would have left more time to polish. Great game nonetheless and I had fun

Simple but challenging, great game!

Gameplay feels really good! There's not much of a reason to keep going for hooks though, maybe like a constantly decreasing hunger bar would incentivize going for hooks.

This game is way too difficult... oh wait that's because I'm playing against myself 😮‍💨💯

Love the aesthetic of the game, great job

I didn't notice any music interaction, just the sound effects, what kind of audio things did you add?

Pretty well polished for the amount of levels! Love the idea and the execution!

ost goes so hard, and the music changing when turning into the hero is awesome!

It's so cool that it fetches real games to display in the game. Highly meta experience. Too bad it'll probably get disqualified :(

Beautifully made game. And this was done in 48hrs, without a game engine??? Holy moly

It's not a perfect game, the controls get kind of weird when the camera turns, but other than that the physics work fine. I like how you use the ball jumping as a mechanic when the level is turned, I thought that was unique. Distinct color palette of the game is nice too.

Keep it up man! This was awesome

Cool concept but gameplay could use some work, the main menu and sprites look great tho

Love the atmosphere, with some more time and bug fixes I think this could be a really immersive experience, incredible job

Nice game, I found the apple game to be the most creative twist on the roles reversed idea, but the tower game was the most fun

Pretty creative concept! The game got repetitive though after a while, wish there was more content but the theme and art and atmosphere are all great!

Love the visual style, there is suprisingly some strategy to the game, good work
