Thanks for your feedback! I will try to improve the game after the jam ^^

I had the same problem with Game Maker Studio 2 (actual gamemaker) in a Jam months ago. You must be sure to work always in the same hard drive when you have installed GM (C: as default) You need to open the project files and compile it always in the same unit. I hope this advice could be useful for next jams or if you can try it for this jam I will try it again.

What engine have you used to make the game?

¡Muchas gracias! Me alegro que te haya gustado, ahora a seguir mejorándolo ;-)

I love the visual style, it's different. The character's speed is ideal although I have had problems with the attack and aiming system. I think you made a fun game, good job!

My computer detected a trojan in the file. Sorry,  I can't play it.

I think it has super well-crafted graphics with personality. The gameplay is very original, but I would have liked the bouncing mechanics to be more slingshot-like, gaining momentum in the opposite direction for example. I see a game with potential to be something bigger, good job!

A very fun game, sorry I don't write more, but I'm in the middle of an adventure rescuing a princess and tormenting my enemies ;-)

The hunting game concept is very well put together, and graphically with all the flora waving in the wind it is spectacular. The gameplay part is already slower but it has its charm. My game ended up getting me into a river without being able to get out... anyway, good job! You have done something original for this Jam ^^

Initially I really like the concept and that it looks hand-drawn. As a suggestion for improvement, I would have the character shoot in the direction of the cursor. Right now it is very difficult to flee and attack. Otherwise, I found it very fun, good job!

This game is wonderful, it reminded me of old NES and PC games from the 90s when I was little. Good graphics and very mysterious gameplay. I love that you also use runes in your game ^^. Congratulations, great entry!

First of all, I loved the concept and the use of sound and lighting, it gives the impression of the sea depths without a doubt. On the other hand, I found it very empty at the beginning and I had technical problems in Firefox, the game was running at very few frames. I see that you have done a great job in the game that at first glance cannot be seen, but that has a lot of merit. Congratulations!

First of all, I like the concept of a Slide the Spire card game. I would have liked, however, that there was progression and rewards, but otherwise it is a good base to expand it in the future.

I love space roguelikes with trading and exploration. It seems like a well-resolved game and different from the rest, good job ;-)

What a classic roguelike! I liked the approach and had fun trying it. The music became a bit repetitive and after killing myself I couldn't exit or close the game, I had to use control+alt+delete. But overall good job, I love mazes!

I really liked the setting and the graphic style, although the darkness and lack of bullets continually put me on edge. Good job!

Thanks for playing it even if it was only for a short time! The current experience progression is for getting more life, attack or speed. With crystals you can buy more slots for runes and get up to 10 slots to combine elements. I hope you enjoy the game in the future if you give it another chance, thanks again!

Do you want to be the avatar too? There can be only one...

I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks for your feedback! To destroy the turrets, first you have to burn the roots with fire, then you can destroy them with earth magic.

Graphically, it seemed amazing in a retro style. The typography, however, made it difficult for me to read and follow the story. I think the style of play has potential with a little more work. I like that it is different from other projects. Good job!

I found it to be a fun project, I liked the part of shooting from the bar, the graphics have their charm. Good job!

I found it very solid graphically, I really liked its style. I found the progression a bit repetitive since I immediately placed several turrets and the enemies couldn't even leave the beginning. Good project, keep improving!

I found it to be a super fun game, although very difficult until you learn to play and hit the shopping cart. Good job!

This is interesting, can I do a minor change in my game too to solve a balance problem? There was an item that didn't drop  when you killed enemies.. I will write a devlog explaining it. Thanks!

-First of all, thank you for playing "The Shadowed Rune" so soon! And above all, I appreciate this fantastic feedback, which will undoubtedly help me make the game a thousand times better in a "post-jam" version. The last hours before the submission were very stressful, and I couldn't solve all the problems I found or balance the game properly, but that's how jams go.

Regarding the Itch.io aspect ratio, I didn't have time to adjust it; the best option is to put the browser in fullscreen mode (Chrome F11).

The idea of being able to break pots by rolling through them seems amazing, thank you!

The issue of interacting with another button is something I have in mind. Perhaps switching between runes with the W and R keys and leaving the E key to interact.

The button to remove "runes" is necessary to delete runes and be able to change them all; otherwise, it would be impossible to make more complex combinations with more slots. Implementing the hold-down feature is something I didn't have time for, but I'm considering it.

Regarding the structure of the first level, I think you're right; I didn't have time to design it properly, and the scale is too large, with too many elements and many enemies. I think it would be better to work with small, more controlled phases with random elements.

I found the pot bug and pathfinding issue 10 minutes before the submission, and I didn't have time to fix them. Also, enemies were supposed to drop crystals to increase your rune slots...

The experience cap is intentional; I limited the Jam experience to 4 level-ups until I change the system to one that allows for up to 100 levels, for example...

Thank you again! I hope you'll play the Post-Jam version and I can provide you with a better experience.

Thanks for your feedback, I will consider it ;-)

Thanks for your feedback ;-)

In a place beyond time, there exists a factory that supplies weapons for future wars. Its workers are the T.O.M (time operator machines). The factory cannot be accessed from the outside. However, with your help, we can destroy it. I have hacked one of those machines (T.O.M) to advance automatically towards its core.

You don't control T.O.M., he moves and jumps automatically, but you can turn him on and off, as well as other stage mechanics. Are you ready for the challenge?

You can play it on: https://javifugitivo.itch.io/tom
