yeah, there were a couple jams going on in the period where I made this, so I decided to enter it in a few of them. I mostly made it for this jam, though.

All right, I think I got the German version set up. But let me know if there's anything wrong with the description or anything, since I just used google translate.

Oh, yeah sorry about that. I only added it to a few Countries, mainly being USA, UK, Canada, and Australia, because I'm not really familiar with other markets, and didn't really know how to handle localization. I could probably add a few more countries, if people want them. Let me know if there are any specific countries I could add.

Before the jam ended, I wanted to give myself an extra challenge to learn how to publish my game to the Google Play store, because I've never done that before. I had everything ready and submitted before the jam deadline, but it took until today to get reviewed and approved.

So I'm happy to announce that you can now download my game, Tap Shot, Directly from the Google Play store!

And here's the original itch page if you want to check it out on other platforms:

Thanks for the feedback! My high score on the final version ended up being 186, but as the developer, I had a bit of practice. 😛

Thanks! It's cool to see a video of someone's first impressions on this :

This is actually kind of designed as a mobile game, so I wanted to keep inputs simple. Although, I agree that aiming isn't the most intuitive thing, since it's based off of your rotation, which is based off your velocity.

That's weird. I didn't add anything like that. Not sure why those would be there. Must either be an itch thing, or a unity thing. I guess it could also be the youtube video that's embeded in the page?

Pretty fun little shmup! The fire rate felt a little slow and it probably could have benefited from some music and sound effects, but overall it was pretty good. My highscore was 224.

Glad you liked it! :)
I'm actually looking into uploading it to the google play store to make it a bit easier to install on phones.

It does actually get a bit harder after you get more points. You start to encounter a few new obstacles and some enemies to avoid. You can see an example of this in the video posted on the game page. But thanks for playing, though!

You can actually go back to the main menu by clicking quit in the pause menu in game. But I guess that maybe could be labeled better, and probably would be nice in the ship screen. I thought about doing something more with gems, but I didn't have enough time, so I decided to just make them give a nice score increase.

There actually is a bit of a progression system, although its sort of hidden so it might not be super obvious. The items that get thrown at you sort of come in waves based on your score. So after every 15-30 points, it will start throwing new obstacles at you, or sending them in different amounts. So it gets harder the further you get. Thanks for giving it a shot, though!

Ooh, this is really fun and polished. I didn't expect to get a gun, but it was fun to use. Great aesthetic as well.

I don't think I'm really good at this, but I really like the aesthetic and gameplay!

Not sure if it was just because I was playing in the browser, but it seemed really hard to get the timing right on this. You might want to make it a little more forgiving. But it's a neat concept!

Interesting game! I didn't really I had the knives at first, which made it seem a lot harder than it actually was. haha
My recommendations would be to maybe move the knives and or jump to different buttons to make it a little easier to control. The character jump and gravity is also a little hard to get used to.

Really cool concept for a game! I can't really think of anything I've played before that I can compare it too. The way you handle difficulty is also interesting.

I really like your gliding mechanic. Some of the jumps were a little tight, but I liked this a lot overall! Also I enjoyed finding the little secret area 😉

Nice. I really love rhythm games like this. I don't think I'm very good, but it was pretty fun to play!

Interesting idea! I think there might be a bug in some levels, because I couldn't see the die, so it was kind of impossible to proceed without just guessing. But the aesthetic and the concept were cool!

Ooh, this is super polished. Love the stealth gameplay!

This is cool. It gives me strong Necrodancer vibes. Only suggestion is that it might be useful if the score and health was more visible during the game, because I had no idea how well I was doing.

Yo, Developer here. This was cool! I've never had anyone make a let's play of one of my games before, so this was fun to watch. I hope you enjoyed the game!

Love the art style and the humor on this one. Great job!

The multiplayer in this game was really cool. Congrats!

Thanks for the feedback!
