yeah, there were a couple jams going on in the period where I made this, so I decided to enter it in a few of them. I mostly made it for this jam, though.

Oh, yeah sorry about that. I only added it to a few Countries, mainly being USA, UK, Canada, and Australia, because I'm not really familiar with other markets, and didn't really know how to handle localization. I could probably add a few more countries, if people want them. Let me know if there are any specific countries I could add.
Before the jam ended, I wanted to give myself an extra challenge to learn how to publish my game to the Google Play store, because I've never done that before. I had everything ready and submitted before the jam deadline, but it took until today to get reviewed and approved.
So I'm happy to announce that you can now download my game, Tap Shot, Directly from the Google Play store!

And here's the original itch page if you want to check it out on other platforms:

You can actually go back to the main menu by clicking quit in the pause menu in game. But I guess that maybe could be labeled better, and probably would be nice in the ship screen. I thought about doing something more with gems, but I didn't have enough time, so I decided to just make them give a nice score increase.
There actually is a bit of a progression system, although its sort of hidden so it might not be super obvious. The items that get thrown at you sort of come in waves based on your score. So after every 15-30 points, it will start throwing new obstacles at you, or sending them in different amounts. So it gets harder the further you get. Thanks for giving it a shot, though!
Interesting game! I didn't really I had the knives at first, which made it seem a lot harder than it actually was. haha
My recommendations would be to maybe move the knives and or jump to different buttons to make it a little easier to control. The character jump and gravity is also a little hard to get used to.
